Battle at Avalon (Duel)

Suntao waited patiently as he rested himself against a wall outside of the blacksmiths' shop. It had been three days since he had handed the broken Jutondo to the hearty owner, but he didn't take the initiave to spend that time at the inn across the way. His focus was too set on retrieving his sword once again to worry about accomidations.

As he stood there with his head hung, he suddenly felt a great chill come over him. Suntao rasied his head in response to it, but didn't notice anything out of the ordinary around him...

Until he looked down.

As he examined the bottom lining of his armor, he noticed a small slip of paper dangling from it. He moved his hand to it and pulled it out to notice something written on the reverse side.

Just as he was about to read it, the blacksmith came around the corner gripping Jutondo with both hands over his shoulder. Suntao's sword seem to have a new glow from it that made it look better than before.
"I've got your sword, kid!", The smith said as he loosely let it plummet to the ground. Just from Jutondo falling to the ground did it give off the same tremor it once did when Suntao had to drive it in. He was amazed by how much more strength it had possessed from the craftsmanship of this man.
"That is one fine sword you've got there."
Suntao looked at the small slip he had in his left hand. It would have to wait. He proceeded to tuck it behind his belt, pushed himself from the wall he was leaning on, and walked over to his sword.
"I apprechiate this, sir. Without your fine craftmanship I would have been in peril."
"Don't worry about it, kid. Glad I could help. If you need my servies again, don't be afraid to come back again."
Suntao nodded as he reached for Jutondo. He grasped it with his right hand, stood up, then placed it on his shoulder. The blacksmith was amazed the this young man could wield a sword like that with ease.
"You must be one hell of a strong kid..."
Suntao grinned and made his way to the outskirts of the town.

As he walked down the street he reached for the slip of paper from earlier. When he began to examine it, he felt the chill embrace him once again. As he turned quickly, something smacked into the blade and when he turned back around he noticed a shadow quickly pull around a building. He raced for the edge of the building and gave chase to the one thing he saw moving swiftly. But as he came ot the edge of town, there was no sign of what he was pursuing.
"Someone's sending me on a wild goose chase...not a bright idea."
"Oh, is it now?"
A voice had come from the shadows. Suntao gripped the hilt of his sword tightly and began inspecting his surroundings.
"If you have business with me, show yourself and state it."

OoC: I'm still trying to break this character in, so as long as the one I battle has decent writing skills, I'll battle them.
