The King of Handhelds

Well I notice how at my school people are stupid. You can like a PSP more than a DS but they have know gaming brain. They think it's better because of it's shininess. I hate it when people think that the PSP is a better system than a DS. Think about it. I'd like someone to name 10 good PSP games.

I wouldn't quite say that the PSP failed. Nintendo won out because of it's already tight stranglehold on the market, and as such the playing field was not level.

Nintendo will always be the king of handhelds. The DS is beating the PSP by a mile.

Only in Japan. But yes, I too like both. I also have both.

Not really, Sony has quite a big chunk of the Market share in the land of the rising sun.

Not like Nintendo does. I mean there were 8 days in advanced line JUST for the DS lite. Look at the sales:

I've always avoided this one, for some of the critics claimed that it was a tedious card game- Not what the series is about.

Anyway, from a sales standpoint, the DS is pwning the PSP.

Only in Japan.

In Japan, the DS sold 7 million units this year, where the PSP only sold I.5 million. In America, the race is closer, but there's still a five-million unit gap. Not to mention that Japanese sales are slightly more important than American sales, for obvious reasons.

Personally, I believe what makes a system better than the others are quality games and good sales-status. PSP has some good games, but the DS also has good games, and a very high sales advantage. So, yeah, it is the King of Handhelds, right now.

Another Sony hate thread... To the PSP no less. The PSP is one of Sony's better hardware, just as long as they can actually make UMD's popular.

Honestly, you're pretty much saying everyone who thinks the PSP is better is stupid. That is an incredibly ignorant statement. You have stated no good reasons why the PSP sucks.

But to let you know, the PSP doesn't suck. Its a pretty good handheld, as long as people are not like you and have a presupposition that something sucks because the word "Sony" is on it.

Don't get me wrong. I like the DS as well. I have both. I like them equally. I'm just letting you know that you should be more prudent in... thinking.

I can't help but agree with ~NeoLink~ to an extent. It's fine to criticize one product, but it's not fine to imply that anyone who follows Sony is an ignorant idiot. And you definitely need to backup your points other than: "Sony sucks because Nintendo is better".

I just feel there should be a stop to all these Sony hate threads. You hate the company, good for you. You don't have to shout to the world that you hate the company just because of a small handheld system. And more than half of these threads don't really serve a real purpose at all. They are created for what? No one is forcing you to buy Sony's products. So to put it bluntly, you have no right to say Sony sucks, just as I have no right to say Microsoft and Nintendo suck.

I have a DS Lite, by the way, and all the Nintendo systems from the NES generation. So no need to start shouting: "OMG, Sony fanboy" here. Personally, I prefer DS because of its battery life per charge. Although more than half of its game library is boring for me.

The Nintendo wins. It is awsome. It has a lot of good products too.

I never said they are stupid. I'm not ignorant. (I think you said that). I was implying people at my school. Unless you go to my school I doubt you would know. Last year 8 people told me that PSP is better because of graphics and better games. Well Ac!d SUCKS! That shouldn't be on your ten good games. But yeh better games....no. I could very well tell you that not only did DS own in sales it also got good ratings. New Super Mario Bros. got game of the month. I have never seen a game of the month PSP award. And stop calling me ignorant and read my post. It said specificly at my school. And about the graphics. Sure. But WHO CARES!!!! REALLY!! Graphics are nice but don't really matter. I have FF3 for my DS. The graphics suck. Amazing game. As I said unless you go to my school you wouldn't know. Again I don't care if you prefer PSP just atleast have a good reason.

Generalizing your school as "stupid people" isn't making your argument any better though. For all we know, they like their PSP. You like your DS. So what's the problem here? You are not buying Sony's product any time soon so you can't just say their PSP sucks just because you happen to like Nintendo a lot.

I'd say both sides that are arguing for their own systems are the same altogether. You guys would make great friends.

Nintendo was the King of the Ring when it came to handhelds before the OVERPRICED PSP. I hate the PSP.

PSP vs. DS is like PS3 vs. Wii. Exactly like it, actually.

Nintendo has always been about the gameplay and they should stick with that strategy. I love my DS and games like FF3 (best graphics on the DS imo) make me love it even more. Just look at tetris. That game doesn't understand the meaning of graphics (not a bad thing) but, its still awesome. A game doesn't endure decades with only fancy eye candy.

Come on....Asking a question like that in a forum that is flooded with nin fanboys?
