My completely evil friend - Is this true?

OK, despite promises from one of my friends about TP spoilers (He got it before me) he has told me every little detail about the game up to the 3rd temple.

WARNING POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD, TAKES PLACE WITH THE 3RD LIGHT SPIRIT
My friend claims after he meets the 3rd light spirit around Zora's Domain, that a cutscene occurs in which you see 3 "shadow link" like things, then (from what I could guess with my hands over my ears) OOT Link runs in to fight them. They instantly kill him, then apparently the light spirits destroy the 3 shadow links. Is any of this true? It seems like fan fiction... but, from the guides I read they describe a "very interesting and disturbing cutscene". If it isn't true, DON'T correct it. I've heard enough spoilers.

I expect I'll be using this thread again tomorrow.

Who's using guides? And even if somebody was using guides, that's their perrogative. Who are you to tell them it's horrible?

He did.

Also if I believe it is horrible then it is my decision to say so, just like you are defending the other side of the arguement. I believe guides to be used before a game ruins the atmosphere of surpise.

I was using it to see if I could find the cutscene my friend was talking about, that's all.

People need to read things.

LOL, I guess he did say he read a guide.

One thing you need to know so that TP won't drive you insane is that some cutscenes occur in flashbacks, while others are symbolic. That one falls into the latter category.

What GDwarf said. Your friend probably just misinterpreted a bit.

OoT Link? Ahh no. That was TP Link...all of them were.

Errr, they were metaphors of the People of Old, randomness. Moreso a twisted interpretation of a war that had occured.

The reason for the whited out eyes was to represent that these characters are not who they are meant to be. The knife wielding Ilia interpretation was meant to symbolize that even friends/lovers would turn on each other to get their hands on this power, aswell as the treachery.
