What is the absoloute worst physical pain you've been in? The worst pain I've been was when I cut my chest on an old stove that used to be at a home I had in Los Angeles. It went in two inches and you could see some flesh. Even after four years, I still have that scar. I think it'll be there for life.
Note: Do not post anything too graphic please. ![]() Last edited by Sadow7489; 12-07-2006 at 10:12 PM.. |

Re: Pain.
Taking a basketball going about twenty miles an hour to the crotch. While running ten miles an hour in the direction of the ball.

I've actually had a pretty soft life, not too much excruciating pain. Man, I'm lucky. But some big-time hurt happened when my brother shot me in the eye with a rubber band, and my eye was fully open. I think that's why my left eye tinges everything a bit more blue than my right eye. |

Re: Pain.
Riding my bike down a Hill and crashing.
My sister and I were getting home from the park, we stopped by the elementry school I went to and the one she was in currently. There was this big hill in the back so I thought why not ride down it? So we do for a 10 minutes then I started, halfway down I lost control(it wasnt a steep hill, or well the part we were riding down) Suddenly I lost control and I think I either flipped over, or I fell on my side and started tumbling down with my bike. lets just say it wasn't a fun ride home. Also I had to lie, because I dont want to add a grounding to the physical pain. So I said I was speeding in the Gravel and crashed. Dont think they believed me but It worked. but yea, my head was throbbing and I was acheing all over. I had scapes all over. Also had a big scar on my right side above the waste. Well a cluster of scars. It was either that, or i was playing on the jungle gym in the 5th grade. I slipped on the bar and well... any guy can imagin the pain. i just remember shouting that it hurt.

Re: Pain.
Two moments in my life stand out.
1. 9 years old, playing soccer, i was keeper. the winger booted a cross into my box, so i jumped up and caught it, not noticing the striker in front of me whose leg was in mid swing. his full-force kick impacted my groin as i was coming down with the ball. i couldn't stand for 15 minutes. when i finally went to the bathroom, i peed blood. i was terrified. i'm fine now, just ask my gf. 2. last year, i fractured my left leg playing pictionary. short version of the story: my team won, my obese cousin somehow hurled his great mass into the sky and came crashing down on my poor leg, resulting in a partial fracture (the crack went halfway through the bone). two weeks later, i was crutching my way to class when my left crutch slipped. naturally, i took the force of my fall on my left leg. bad idea. i felt a terrific pop, and a horrible grinding sensation coming from my fracture. the grinding of the two broken faces of the bone felt so disgusting/painful that i threw up in my mouth. for real.

Re: Pain.
When I was twelve years old I was ski racing in Switzerland and I flew over a safety net going approx 60 MPH. I crashed into trees. I crushed "un vertebre" (I have no sweet clue how to say that in english... Vertebra maybe) , I broke my right arm, I had compound fractures to my right tibia and I practically bit my tongue off. For the half hour that I was conscious before they put me in a coma... well I dont think I have words to explain it. It took me three years of rehab before I was able to ski again. And I still have big problems with my neck and back.

Re: Pain.
The worst pain I had was spraining both my wrists. You might think it was nothing, you got worse. That may be so, but you have never got the kind of pain from spraining your wrists that I got. IT FRIGGIN HURT LIKE HELL! Everyone kept on touching my wrists, even squeezing it (at that time, I had to live with very annoying peole), I had to use my wrists to lift things, type, write and do my homework, and I had trouble holding nything. I couldn't even eat with a fork and knife, and not even hold my pencil so that I didn't feel any pain.
And all because I tried doing a backflip to dodge a speeding tennis ball. Stupid me.... |

Re: Pain.
I know it will sound really stupid and cheesy but I actually beleive that it was something of a miracle that I did not die that day, and that I can still perform my passion as a ski racer after all that, but hey ... stuff happens and the good side of it is that I am pretty pain tolerent now lol (although I am also tolerent of every other painkilling drug out there O_o)

Re: Pain.
I broke the same arm twice. I must say, when bones break in your body, you truly discover a new type of pain.
First time was in sixth grade, I was at school. A guy from my class all of a sudden snatches my cap and runs away. I chase him, and we get caught between a door. His friend (being as big as he was physically) smashed the door as hard as he could right with my wrist stuck in it. It wasn't intentional, though. Atleast I think so. Second time was around 9th grade, I was riding my bike with some friends, and I was listening to a CD-player while riding around. A Rock song played in my ears, and I felt a little adrenaline, so I started going really fast. My friends looked at me in panic as I went right for a huge "bump" in the road at a high speed, then I flew off the bike. Funny thing about that second time was that I thought I had broken my knees at first, they were shaking a lot and I could very barely stand up. I probably did injure my knees badly, but I never had that checked. I know from pain that I even feel today (after all that knee-bashing I've received) when I put too much pressure on my knees, especially the left one. I've had a lot of incidents with rollerblades, bikes, and all that. It was very painful each time, and as a result my left knee feels like a detonated mine field. Wow, it never occured to me how badly I have been beaten up by all these things I used to roll with outside. I can name a dozen incidents like that.

Re: Pain.
When my dad pulled, or rather, yanked, a slightly loose tooth out of my mouth.
It was only slighty loose, mind you. It was not ready to come out at all. First, he slapped me hard across the face because I was in trouble, then my mouth was completely bloody because of that tooth. He slapped me so hard that he knocked the tooth almost out, had that vein kept it from flying. In conclusion, he brought me to the bathroom and pulled the tooth out, hard, and the whole sink was filled with blood. It hurt. ^_^ ... Another thing...CRAMPS! I suppose that's not graphic. :3 |

Personally, I've never really had anything particularly nasty happen. I'd have to say that the most painful thing would have to have been either the time a nail went through my shoe into the bottom of my foot... or when I slammed my elbow on concrete from 6 feet up. The first one of those happened when I was in third grade, and my pool was being built... I was walking nearby it, and... yup. Step. In it goes. The second was at summer camp, when I was 11. Got knocked off a bunk, sprained my wrist and fractured my elbow. It was only a hairline fracture, though... so nothing particularly serious. |

Re: Pain.
Well, I've never really had painful experiences, except for busting my head open on a marble table. But I almost hurt myself real bad once. I was riding the little neighbor kids bike down the street really fast. My idiot sister decides to jump in the way. I figure she would move when I got close enough. She didn't so I hit the brakes. The back tiers stop but the front ones don't. The bike is so small my legs are hooked under the handle bards and I can't get free. Me and the bike roll over three times (not to the side, to the front) somewhere i the process my sister moves. I thank God My legs were stuck or else I would have flown off. Gave me some nasty bruises and I couldn't stand up straight for a while though.

Re: Pain.
My so far worst physical pain was: when I stuck my fingers in the oven when I was one years old. My mom had to take me to the hospital (and like every little kid, I was crying) Anyways,my mom was upset cause I was crying and the doctor said "NO! Crying is a good thing, it means that her the nerves in her hands still work!" Ever since then, I got webed fingers, and a crusafix(cross) looking scar on my left index finger.
