The perfect game...
Before TP was released I thought it would be the perfect epic game. It is no doubt epic, and all its feautures are great, including gameplay, music, graphics and storyline. But did anyone think it should have been EVEN better.
Maybe we were expecting too much. God, I haven't even got TP yet. If I am getting an experience that is better than OoT, MM and TWW, I'm in for a treat, a very big treat. But after a year or two, when TP dies down a bit; when eveeyone has played it and is talking about it, what other Zelda games are there to look forward to. Theres Phantom Hourglass, but I'm not spending $250 on a DS and the Zelda game just to play it. Who thinks we'll get another great epic Zelda game? Maybe in 4 or 5 years?

Re: The perfect game...
I haven't played TP yet, and while I do have high expectations for it, I don't think it's perfect. I think it's very likely there will be a new epic Zelda game in several years that will seem, for its time, difficult to surpass.
No, I'm not worried that the Zelda franchise is peaking or anything like that. |

Re: The perfect game...
A new Wii Zelda will probably take about 2 years (maybe 3 if they want to get everything perfect) and also we'll have to wait for the launch to be announced, so I'd say 3 to 4 years sounds about right.
In the meantime, we have handhelds. PH is gonna be sweet

Re: The perfect game...
from what i`ve heard it`ll be hard to top TP. but even then, to expect a 'perfect' zelda game is certainly asking too much, the best you can get is very close i think. as people will always have different views about what makes it perfect. as long as it feels like 'zelda' and keeps me entertained, thats perfect enough for me.
there will obviously be another epic zelda game, but god knows how long we`ll have to wait...a decade next time perhaps...? maybe not |

Re: The perfect game...
True, you can only keep playing the same thing so many times until you get bored of it. Nintendo will probably incorporate something new in the next game. Something to do with the Wii mote.

Re: The perfect game...
Well, MM was a sequel to OOT, so it made sense that they used the same engine. If the next Zelda game isn't a sequel to TP then I doubt it'll use the same engine. >.>;

Re: The perfect game...
If you are thinking gameplay engine then TP's was based off of the WW engine. As for graphics, I have the feeling that there will be a brand new graphics engine, if not an entirely new style (I think a new style is likely), will be implemented to take advantage of the Wii's graphical capabilities. Remember, TP was not built to utilize the Wii's graphical capabilities, but to take full advantage of the Gamecube's power.
