They would have to remix it quite a bit for it to fit TP's overworld, but I think it could be done.
I hope they do something like in Ocarina of Time where the music changes. There are 3 different version of the overworld theme played in OoT:
1)
When riding Epona or running: The normal version. I actually find this music to be very good, much better than ALttP's overworld theme which I found to be repetative and annoying.
2)
Standing still doing nothing: My favorite version. Very peaceful and makes me feel emtional for some reason.
3)
When fighting an enemy: Of coarse, the beat changes. It gets faster and gives you the "I need to fight" feeling.
Now, ever though the theme changes in OoT, it fits together well as if it is just a different part of the same theme.
I really hope Twilight Princess does this as well. Think about it, the music could change when you are on horseback or when you are walking or battling, swimming, standind still, being chased. . . the possiblities are endless.
