Re: Farorian Lunar Match

OoC: Sorry it's a little short. Here it is.

IC:

Fear fluttered through Valkyhn like a butterfly, searching for a flower. He wasn’t sure why for he knew he wanted to die. But that woman prevented him. And now, this…thing that isn’t even human was reeling the two in by some metal strings that shot out of his fingers. And then another arm suddenly burst out of his shirt, made entirely of the same metal. Valkyhn had no idea why, but he didn’t care. All he knew it that he wanted to die. To account for what he did to that boy. For a second, he glanced towards the lifeless suit that once held the boy, but quickly turned away. His tears were still flowing down his face, but now not as much. If his arms weren’t tied up by the metal man’s string, he would’ve pulled off his helmet, right then and there, and end his life.

A squeal suddenly brought him back to reality, away from his thoughts and his sins. Surprised, Valkyhn looked down at the man. He had his left arm, the magically made one, cocked back, as it punch them as they came in reach. “Yes!” yelled Valkyhn. “Come. Kill me! End my misery and suffering. Avenge my sins!”

“No! You don’t deserve to die! What happened was a mistake!”

“What happened was my rage! I let it take me over, after I promised I never would let it again! I knowingly killed him, not once thinking of his own life! I don’t deserve to live! Now, let me die!”

“…Then you’re an idiot. Everyone makes mistakes, some worse than what you did. You can’t dwell on something that happened in the past! You have to pick yourself up and move on!”

“You have no idea…how many times I’ve had to do that. I’ve had enough. Just let me die.” There was no time to argue on her part, for then the machine had sprung his artificial arm forth. A scream uttered from the woman right beside Valkyhn. A revelation. Everything happened in slow motion once again, and yet Valkyhn seemed unaffected. He had time to stare at the arm and then to the fearful woman beside him and knew what he had to do. As the arm slowly swung towards the woman, Valkyhn turned in the air, proving to be more difficult than usual, due to the lack of atmosphere. He was now sideways, his feet facing towards the woman. He twisted his head for a view at when to execute his plan. The metallic arm started to pass Valkyhn’s feet. As the metal man’s fist came directly in front of Valkyhn, he drew his leg back and thrust it forward with all his might.

With no sound at all, the ball of the foot connected, sending the metallic arm off his course. And then, time flowed real motion. The arm missed the woman’s head, the two came even closer to the metal man, and Valkyhn once again sprung into action. Without missing a beat, he spun around the opposite direction, bringing his leg back. As he reached a full three-sixty, he thrust his knee into the face of the metal man, sending him sprawling back onto the lunar surface and releasing the two from his wiry grip. Valkyhn landed on the surface, standing in his usual ready stance, modified for without a sword. The woman wasn’t so lucky. Unable to react to what just happened, she collapsed to the ground on her face. Groaning, she slowly got up, wiping her suit off.

“I thought you wanted to die.”

“I do. But, just now, I realized I’ve been selfish. I’ve been concentrating on my own sins that I forgot about you. Just because I want to die doesn’t mean I want you to die. We’ll beat this machine thing and get off this place and then we’ll go on our separate ways.”

The girl laughed once. “Fine then. Let’s take this guy down.”

“Wait.”

“What?”

“How are we going to get home?”

“Don’t worry. I got that covered.”

“If only I had my sword.”

“Your sword? So then you are a warrior?”

Valkyhn nodded. “But it looks like I’ll have to improvise.”

The girl nodded. “By the way, I’m Bella.”

“Valkyhn. Now, a little less talk, a lot more action!” With that, both rushed forward, more used to the low-gravitational atmosphere, towards the mechanical man, who had just gotten up on his feet.
