Re: What makes Classic Rock better than Today's Rock?

You see... Classic Rock was when music was starting to become accessible to everyone. What I mean is, is that before, in olden days, not everyone could play an instruement, but in the 2nd half of the 20th Century, everyone had access to an instrument, and they just let the creativity flow.

Back then, in the 60's and 70's, there were no stereotypes, people just let the music flow, this is why it seems like there is so much creativity. The Beatles, The Doors, Cream, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, and the list could go on for pages, but you get the point. These bands all had different ideas, and they played them the way they wanted to.

Modern Rock, on the other hand, is still quite diverse, but now, it seems people are in it more for the money than anything. Which is why a lot of bands not only sound the same, but are only around for 2 to 5 albums nowadays. Because when one of these new bands writes a catchy song, a whole bunch of people cream their pants over this ONE tune, and then feel the need to go out and buy all their albums, and clothing materials, etc... until the same thing happens again.

It's just what I see happening nowadays.
