It's true, Nintendo's products are not perfect, but they are certainly better than most of the third-party garbage that pops up.
No company has ever produced a worse analog stick than that found on the official N64 controller. Not all of Nintendo's products are unilaterally better than third-party products.

I've owned many third-party devices. Only one of them was truly unsatisfactory. The majority of my console memory cards are third party, and in the past I've owned several third party controllers and adapters. The only unsatisfactory product was a really bad Interact Dreamcast memory card. Oh well, they're gone now.

Heck, there are occasions when third-parties produce vastly superior products, such as "back in the day" with ASCII and their SNES controllers, or the Fountech AirStyle controller for the PS2 that not only trumps the traditional PS2 controller, but outdoes Nintendo's Wavebird in terms of wireless functionality and features. For the Gameboy Advance, the Afterburner provided variable lighting with full installation, unlike the GBA SP. Heck, it was Interact's 16x Gamecube memory card (which works flawlessly) that made Nintendo's own flawed memory manager known. Perhaps another reason we still haven't seen the SD adapter?

Many third-party products simply do a very passable job. My Interact System Selector is a dream. Gamester's Flood Light worked like a dream with my old normal GBA. InterAct's Mobile Monitor performs perfectly. Heck, some third-party products work well enough that the first-parties are willing to support them; Take Nyko's PS2 controllers for example.

And heck, every single one of my perfectly working yet ancient PSX memory cards is third-party.

Everyone just needs to lay off the mean stereotypes.
