Re: Farorian Lunar Match

OoC: I nearly cried myself, making this post. I hope I did alright. I'm not very experienced with stuff like this. Meh, whatever. First for everything.

IC:

I need my sword! This guy’s too strong! What was his name? Chronos? Like time. Maybe it's another sign, like Rain's was. Crap! Valkyhn watched, helplessly as the one named Chronos, who was completely clad in a weird meal and had no eyes, or places to show them anyway, leapt towards the mysterious stranger that blew up the ship. The person somehow redirected his attack and tried to throw Chronos. But the giant squeezed the man’s wrists, causing them to loosen their grip and the giant threw the man into the woman behind Valkyhn. Wait! What! Where’d she come from? Valkyhn turned his head to the two people lying on the lunar sand. Slowly, it was the one who was thrown who got up first. His voice could be heard clearly, as if he was directly in front of Valkyhn, due to the lack of interfering atmospheric air. “Was that supposed to hurt? Hahahah! Come try again, you retarded giant!”

“You know,” yelled Valkyhn. “I really don’t like your attitude!”

The man turned towards Valkyhn. “Does it really look like I care? You can go jump off the moon for all I care.”

“Really? Is that so? Well then, come get me?” Valkyhn shot his arms out. “I’m wide open.” Though no one but Valkyhn himself knew, a big grin covered his face; his eyes gleamed.

Screaming, the man rushed towards Valkyhn, jumping high into the air. Valkyhn looked up with him, keeping his eyes on the man’s cocked arm. As the man came down, Valkyhn sidestepped to his left, swept his leg back and swung it forward, catching it in the man’s chest as he came to the ground. A large grunt came from the man’s suit and blood splattered from his mouth, blocking his sight. He fell to his knees, grabbing his chest, doubled over. He wheezed, hoping to catch some breath as the wind was clearly knocked out of him. “Maybe that’ll teach you some respect!” The man never looked up. Instead, he brought his arm up, facing Valkyhn. He closed it in a fist then shot out his middle finger. Valkyhn raised an eyebrow, almost humorously. “Ohoho! Still a little disrespectful wretch, are ya? Well then, here’s another lesson!” Valkyhn walked up to the man so that he was directly in front of him. “Lesson number one!” Valkyhn suddenly shot out his knee, shoving it into the man’s face. He flew back ten feet, landing softly on the lunar soil. “I really wish the gravity wasn’t so low here!” Valkyhn leapt forward, landing by the man’s feet. “Lesson number two!” Valkyhn reached down, grabbing the man’s suit. He brought him up as to where the man’s feet were off the ground. Valkyhn brought his free hand back behind him and punched the man directly in his chest. A grunt issued from the man. “And three!” A punch to the face. “And four and five!” Two punches to the face. “Last lesson!” Valkyhn threw an uppercut, landing it on the man’s chin and kept going upward, forcing his helmet off.

What happened next occurred in slow motion. Upon seeing the helmet fly off the man’s face and a young, bloodied up man with emerald eyes, filled with tears of pain, came into view the rage-induced gleam of Valkyhn’s eyes dissipated, his psychotic grin decreased to a frown. The man’s tears were red, mixed in with the blood. His emerald eyes were filled with fear and sadness and knowingness of his imminent death. And then it was all gone. The eyes, the tears, everything. With no atmosphere to protect his body to expand, his face exploded outward, with nothing more than a small poof! Blood, brains, and tissue flew out into the airless void as Valkyhn collapsed to the ground, tears streaming down his face, blocked from view to the giant and the woman who stood there, watching, not believing. “What have I done? I…I killed him!” His voice was cracked, hoarse and dry. “Oh my god! I killed him!”

The giant stood in the center of the crater, staring at him, no emotion able to show, if any to show at all. The woman was different however. She was on her knees, her hands, trying to cover her covered mouth. Valkyhn knew she was crying, crying tears of anger and sadness and sorrow.

Valkyhn tore his gaze from them and from the man’s lifeless body. He looked down at his hands. His hands, tainted with blood and murder. This was the first time he had ever killed a human. The first time he knew what it felt like. And he hated it. His tears changed from tears of sorrow and regret, but now were tears of anger and hatred. Hatred for himself, for his actions. For letting his rage take over, as it had done with Rain. His heart beat hard against his chest, as if it wanted to escape his disgusting body, unable to live side by side with a murderer. And he didn’t blame it. Valkyhn wanted it to escape, to separate from his body and leave it to die here in the cold, barren nothingness of space. It only seemed fit to die surrounded by nothing. He wanted to stay here and die, so no one would be able to look at him and turn away in disgust or tears. He wanted to eternally rest among the stars, where he could hurt no one again.

And then his tears ceased. His mind concentrated on what would be his last thought. Slowly, he stood up and brought his hands and rested them on his helmet. For a few seconds, he stood there silent and still, afraid of what he was going to do. But he continued on. He pressed his hands up against the helmet and uttered what he knew of as his last words.

“Forgive me father, for I have sinned.”
