Who builds a castle in the middle of a forest? That castle is obviously ancient and abandoned.
I personally believe it's North Castle. The entire Triforce is in the possession of the Royal Family at the end of AoL, too.
Sure, it's the same with ALttP. However, in that game the Dark World becomes the Golden Land again, which makes it impossible for the Oracles to be close sequels to ALttP. Also, if the 'world of evil' mentioned in the Japanese versions of LoZ and AoL is the Dark World it makes it even easier to put them after LoZ and AoL.
