You misunderstand me. I meant something along these lines:
After the black mage screams bloody murder, it would go smoother if a few lines (maybe a panel or two) of discussion go between them (this is a good place to add humor as well). And
then Steve should make an entrance. These ideas would have a better appeal than your Steve to just being there and immediately talking. That interrupts a nice flow that would keep readers wondering what's going to happen next. I'm trying to help by offering advice. You don't have to use it if you don't want to. Other than that, I find no other problems with your comic. ^_^
