Seeing as how a thread exists for leftist (I refuse to call them "liberal") parties and yet another for the watered-down "let's only kill most of what we see" parties I found myself greatly distressed that the Loyal Citizens of the Empeor's (myself) lands did not spontaneously produce a thread of their own. Even at prompting! What kind of complete lack of loyalty is that.

How can such an injustice stand without waves of the Empire's Loyal Citizens launching raids into both threads! It's... it's the worst injustice since MASH was first aired!

As I was saying, this is where you can all come to voice support for me, the Lord-Emperor of All Existence and all his glorious socio-economic policies that go along with a reign of abject terror and destruction. You know I support the empire. of course once you hear all the great things it will do and are garunteed a position of power in it like, Head of Nuclear Weapons Research and deputy Ambassador to China (subject to change by the emporer), it's tough not to.

It depends. Initially there will be no taxes for those inside the Empire as I will finance the Imperial government with a "Not part of the Empire" tax. Basically, any country wishing to claim independence from the Empire must pay a tax of 100% of it's governments gross income. Once I actually rule the entire planet however, I will be forced to impose a small tax. Without any outside enemies, defense spending (outside the space research fields and paramilitary forces to shoot rebels) will be minimal and with essentially no gearing for issues outside imperial palaces, military matters, and foreign diplomacy the country can run solely on the sale of federal land and a small sales tax on non-food items. If the planet should run out of land to sell, an entirely fair income tax of 5% accross the board may be imposed.
