Graphics Forum
Ok, I was thinking about this the other day surfing trhough the Sig. Shop forum. Why not make an entire Graphics Forum, instead of aving one just limited to Sig. Shops. Move the Sig Shop forum in as a sub-forum of the Entire Graphics Forum.
Lots of times, if I have a question about Graphics(I photoshop and sig make sometimes) i feel akward sending a random PM to one of the other siggy makers to ask them a question that I couldn't find by googling it. In the Graphics forum, you could have a help thread for Gimpers, and also one for Photoshopers. In wach of these you could ask questions on how to do stuff and such. Also, fellow 'graphicers' could make a thread in which they make stuff in PS or GIMP is displayed. Yes I know there is already an Art and Writing section in which showing stuff you've made can be shown. But I see many other Graphic Forums on other boards and thought this might be a good idea. Please Consider -NC

Re: Graphics Forum
I like the idea. Many ZUers see fit to try their hand on the graphics scene, and the number of people doing this is only increasing. A whole Graphics forum would do well to serve their needs. No doubt, like yourself, people feel limited when there is only a board for Signature Shops. Several boards covering different aspects of the visual art scene (not too many, of course; but I can easily see a set of '2D Art,' '3D Art' and 'Sig Shop' boards) would help organize and direct what could be many threads regarding technique, result, and anything in-between. It could work well.
But. I think, at heart, Zelda Universe is a site that should focus solely on Zelda. The current Forum setup is fine because it covers the Zelda franchise, but also provides a place for general talk that will happen on any Forums. A specific Graphics forum does not fit in well with that schema. If there was a Graphics forum, why can't there be an Architecture forum, or a Programming forum? Catering for all these hobbies/professions can become an arduous task, and it's much simpler and more effective just to have what absolutely needs be. Having said that, I don't see why you can't post help threads in the Signature Shop board. The Signature Shop board is not strictly limited to Sig Shops; I myself have proven this by creating a Tutorial Shop, and I'm not the first -- Radek (or Japas, as he was known back then) also had a Tut Shop a few years back. Not to mention the now-defunct Sig Chit-Chat series of threads. The only change I can really see that would work (without creating any superfluous extras) is to merge the Sig Shop board with the Art & Writing forum, and open it up to a more broad range of creative arts. But in the end, if you really want graphics help that desperately, you'd probably be better off joining a Forums that focusses solely on the graphical arts.

Re: Graphics Forum
Perhaps, People could have one big Stickyed thread at the top, where people can post there Works of art like sigs or something, but if anyone want's to comment on it, they would have to send a PM to the maker or something, to keep down the spam... Just a thought. I like this idea, because I just think this sig I have now is the best one I've ever made, ever.
As for the turtorials, they could be the Non-stickeyed threads.
