Strange Mural

Has anyone noticed that there is some sort of strange image in the main room of the deku tree on the wall? It kind of looks like Rauru or some wierd frog king with a red nose. I know some will say that this is just a repetitive wall pattern and purely coincidential but maybe it's not... What do you think?

yes i did see that in the deku tree.I think that miyamoto put that in the game on purpose.I also saw another mural simalar to majoras mask in the room where you had to sing sarias song to the goron in goron city in Oot

i think there was already a thread about that, i never noticed. I seldom notice this things,but its probably just random wall pattern or an easter egg.

Did anyone notice the drawing of the dragon on one of the roots of Links house? Could it have been some sort of allusion to Link becoming a hero?

I remember that, and I always thought it was something like that, too. A way of showing that even as a young kid, there was an element of destiny starting to reveal itself in him. (I always assumed that Link doodled it himself, personally.)

Thats interesting, I never noticed the one in the Deku tree, I should look at it o.o

And maybe that dragon is ganon, because he sorta did look like that in OoT, he had a big spikey tail.

I always put it as, Ganon is kind of a big ass dragon & maybe Link had a vision of him killing Ganon & then he drew it out on his house!

I think that's more-or-less exactly what it is!
Perhaps a little in-joke, forshadowing what Link will become.

I haven't seen the one inside the Deku Tree, so I'll go look for that now, but is there any chance of someone posting an image of it here?

i think i know what you're talking about. i looked at the texturing and noticed how you can see two different types of faces.

one face resembles Anubis, the egyptian god
whereas the other face looks like a cross betwen a goron and an ape with a big mouth

And in Kokiri forest on the stone supports for the bridge it looks like fierce deity Link from MM, wierd, I also saw the goron and ape one in the Deku tree along with the triforce.

I've seen the pics in the deku true and if you look inside the boss room of jabu-jabu there is some sort of skull kid in a mask with a large sword

I always thought that picture on Link's house was of him fighting King Dodongo, as it bears more resemblance to a lizard than a pig.

You're all seeing images inadvertently created by reflected textures.

All those thing are just some things Nintendo put in to make it look cool I suppose...

I ment the bridge in Kokiri forest not the lost woods. KOKIRI FOREST! theres a bridge up there

I've just checked inside the Great Deku Tree, and there is no denying it. There are images of Rauru and a Goron plastered all over the walls. I've even seen something that looks like a Dodongo from the front. This is not one of those hard to spot things that when you do find it looks nothing like what you were looking for, it's the real deal. The textures bear too much resemblance to Rauru and a Goron to be coincidence.

This may be an Easter Egg or something. I never noticed it though. Guess it's time to dust off the N64!
