Sands of Despair *random*

ooc: Okay yes it says "random" on the title, but if I'm gonna be fighting anyone, make sure you make decently long, very descriptive posts.

ic: The desert, a place full of nothing but gritty sand. The ground, nothing but it. Every day, the reddish-yellow sun blazed over the land, burning it and creating almost unbearable heats. How anyone could live their entire lives there with no mental, emotional, or physical injuries was a thought that not even the greatest scholars in Hyrules could comprehend or make a logical answer to. Nevertheless though, people still could survive there, and one was at the moment.

Deep within the vast desert, there was a large stone structure. It had been built hundreds of years ago uring the past, by actual people who could survive in the Haunted Wasteland. The people called the Gerudo, a tribe of female warrioressess. This structure was not the Spirit Temple, but something different. At the top was a carved cobra, with its mouth open and its fangs sticking out. This was the tomb of dead Gerudo leaders, and no dared go into it, knowing they may have a chance of joining the dead females. One warrior did though, and he was in there at that moment.

It was Vaarshola, the mystical, mysterious advisor and most trusted warrior of Princess Sephia in the land of Herlassia to the north of Hyrule. He sat atop on of the stone rafters in the main entrance hall of the tomb, mediatating and wtaching as a horrid sandstorm raged on outside. The winds blew sand so terribly taht you couldn't even see the sun. In fact, it wasn't even shining today at all. Vaarshola had traveled through that storm not more than an hour or two ago, he ahd been looking for a place to relax, and somewhere where he could find another victim. He found the tomb, marked by the stone cobra at the top, and decided to wait inside for someone. A normal person wouldn't even dare go into there, and even if he did, he knew he'd never get a warrior to come here, and simply leave after a few hours. But Vaarshola knew someone was coming, and as he sat, he could see a slightly dark figure trodding through the storm. A wicked grin slowly grew upon his face, and as the person began getting closer and closer to the gigantic tomb, he jumped from the stone rafters, and garcefully landed on the floor with both feet.

" Well well, who do we have here?" he inquired in his mind.

Re: Sands of Despair *random*

Patrick steps forward grabing the hilt of his sword. Pulling it out he looked upon the large monster and said, "I am Patrick O'Dwyer, The Wandering Samurai of Ireland."

The green sword reflected a light upon Vaashola's face. "That blade? Could it be?" said the monster. "Well, if it is not the great samurai! What a weakling! Could no other warrior face me? Ha. Hah haha ha!"

"You will find that I am not so weak. I am Patrick O'Dwyer, Protector of All, Defender of Justice. I am here to destroy you monster!" said Patrick. He held his sword ready to attack as Vaashola jumps down to his level. Even with his feet on the ground he was quite larger than Patrick. It did not phase him though. He gritted his teeth and readied for battle! "For too long have you ravanged this land. For too long have you hurt the innocent! I shall let you do this no longer! In my father's name, I shall destroy you!"

Re: Sands of Despair *random*

ooc: Ummm.......Vaarshola would have no clue what a samurai or Irelnad would be, this is Zelda world jsut to let you know.......

ic: Vaarshola smirked at the threatening bellow from the warrior. He stared at the younger man, getting good glimpses of his appearance, weaponry, and garments.

"Heh, the many times I've heard taht from former foes.........all eventually being slain......" Vaarshola cockily and evilly replied. Patrick hardened his eyes at the mystical killer.

"I am much stronger than any other of your other foes most definetly, you will certainly not get much of an easy duel from me you sick devil." Vaarshola gave somewhat of a grin after hearing the Irish Samurai's remark.

"Gimme everything you've got then fool" he replied. Patrick planted his feet and got in his battle stance as he grasped the hilt of his sword tightly with both hands.

"My pleasure.........." The second after he finished his sentence, Patrick screamed in fury, and flew at Vaarshola, he stood staring at the oncoming warrior. Just as he began to come closer to him, the mystiocal killer pulled out his huge, though thinner curved blade Sylence, and with ease parried the shot that the Irsh Samuari at sent at him. The metal clashed against one another, and a couple sparks exploded from the fray. They grappled for a few seconds, before soon Vaarshola jumped back. He locked his deep blue eyes on Patrick's right shoulder, and then lunged at him with the tip of his sword pointed at that marked point on the warrior's body. The Irish Samurai saw the attack coming, and was able to block it just as Vaarshola had. As they stood locked with their blades, the mystical killer's eyes slightly lit up.

"Well well, you certainly have some superb swordsmanship. But let me ask you, do you know telekinesis?" Vaarshola asked, and at that moment his eyes lit up, and the next thing Patrick knew he was struck hard by some force, and with a cry of pian was sent flying into the dark yellow, sandstone wall of the tomb. He roared in pain of the hard impact, and slid down the wall until he sat up against it groaning in pain and breathing heavily from sligght fatigue. Vaarshola grinned sinisterly. "Didn't think so......"

Re: Sands of Despair *random*

Patrick rose to his feet unsteadily. Grabbing his sword he said, "Wow, you pack quite punch! But a giant monster such as yourself would not understand the finer points of speed! Bright Flash!" The Green Sword glowed a pale white and eventually all of Patrick luminated the white light. Eventually none of his features were distinguishable for the light covered his entire body and in many ways, he became the light. Then an instant later the light disappeared with Patrick.

He reapeared about 50 feet away no sooner than he left. Then something strange happened which puzzled Vaarshola, it looked as if he was coming out of this attack which he started. The sword became the familiar green color.

"Muhaha. Are you just wasting your own energy with a worthless atack!!" said the monster.

Then a sound from all around him came a loud as the gods, "You wish, Demon!"

Vaarshola looked at Patrick again and saw that it was only the sword that changed back to normal. The body of the warrior remained in its luminecant state. Then as he had before, Patrick disapeared. Within a second he reapeared except now only an inch from the monster's body. The green blade slashed at the monster cutting open the skin. He then disapeared and reapeared at another point on the body and did the same. He repeated this hundreds of more times within a few seconds and before the monster realized it. The last attack came when Patrick apparated right in front of Vaarshola's face. Patrick went directly for the left eyes. Cutting open both of the eyes, the monster screamed in pain.

"Perhaps, I do know some things about telekinesis" said the voice from all around.

OoC: One thing that you must take into account. One, I am still in the light form. I am too quick for any normal attack.

ooc: Umm....I hate to burst your bubble big bro, but he doesn't do telekinesiss with his eyes, it's a mental thing, its' jsut that his eyes light up when he performs blast of it. So he can keep doing the telekinesiss as mcuh as he wants.

Not to mention, that's kinda cheap to destroy all vision of my charcter, especially so early on in the fight. Listen, I'll give ya a chance to edit it all considering that's kinda unfair on my part too that your attack basically failed. Once you edit your post, I'll edit thsi one into a fight post, okay? ^_^

Re: Sands of Despair *random*

ooc: That's fine, Vaarshola can easily deal with that.

ic: The deep blue eyes on the mystical killer hurt badly. This was a pain he never had a burden from, no one ever was intelligent and strategic enough to realize if you damage his eyes, Vaarshola would weaken. A couple drops of blods ran from them and down his face, then dripping onto the sandstone floor. They cascaded on the ground, crimsoning those spots and sending more tiny drops away from the impact. It hurt, and that was something Vaarshola had to admit. A searing pain surged through his pupils and all around his handsome, yet wicked face. The twin streams of blood were like tears running down a child's eyes, and he quickly wiped them away with a single stroke his left hand. His battling would be lesser throughout the rest of the duel with this injury, sight was very significant to almost all warriors. Though it wouldn't stop him from annhilating the Irish Samurai.

"No matter.........Sephia is sure to have some ailments or nostrums at the castle. Heck I could even use a tonic if I need to from the alchemist....." he thought to himself in his mind. Patrick stood by watching Vaarshola with a fierce look in his eyes.

"Your vision is damaged greatly you sick, demented killer. Perhaps now you'll stop your reing of terror on this land" he yelled out. Vaarshola stood silent after hearing the samurai's comment. He simply looked down at the floor with his wounded eyes, not making a single sound and barely any movement. His usual evil grin or smirk was absent from his face, he looked so stern and serious now. All of a sudden, performed a backflip, and flew at Patrick. As he came down, he stuck his foot out, and it connercted with the Irish Samurai's face. As it smashed in, Patrick cried out in pain, and staggered backwards. Once Vaarshola lande, in a flash he spun around with Sylence, and the curved blade slammed into Patrick's side. His eyes slightly widened from the pain, and stood mouth agape as he hunched over to the side from the blow. He made numerous gurgling-like sounds, though mostly gasps of agony and shock. Crimson blood began to flow from hsi wound onto the upper part of Sylence, and Vaarshola soon pulled it back. Patrick collapsed to his knees, clutching his side as blood flowed through his fingers.

"I do not need all of my sight to kill you weakling...." he stated, and then grinned sinisterly.

ooc: Oh yeah, just to let you know, Vaarshola isn't a monster, in fact he's not even a spirit or demon. He's a Herlassian, just one with the pwers and might of a monster, demon or devil. Just thought I'd let ya know that ^_^

Re: Sands of Despair *random*

OoC: Usually I would try to make time to fight...but I can't continue much more little brother.

Ic: Patrick tried to stand up but could not. Vaashola came towards Patrick and stomps on him. He then throws a bottle on the almost dead body and a fairy comes out. He then turns away and walks father into the desert.

Patrick awoke with all of his wounds healed. "Perhaps I could not defeat you, demon, but justice will prevail.
