Link Link is a young lad of sixteen who is the hero of this adventure. He is known as the boy who is afraid of nothing, for he holds much courage. One day in the peaceful kingdom of Hyrule, Link noticed a mark on his hand which resembled three triangles. This day was Link's birthday, and he was rather worried, so he traveled to the castle to speak to Impa. He then learned that he was the chosen one who would bring peace to the land and awaken the sleeping Princess Zelda. Princess Zelda  The fair and beautiful heir to the throne, Zelda. Many, many years ago, this princess was put to sleep by a cruel Wizard taking orders from the Prince of Hyrule. For Zelda once knew the whereabouts of one of the Triforce pieces scattered throughout the land. Sworn not to tell, she was said to sleep eternally, for only the entire Triforce held by a righteous heart will be able to awaken her. Ganon  The most evil and wicked being known throughout the land of Hyrule. Many years ago, this dark king was destroyed by a boy named Link who held the Silver Arrows. To this day Ganon remains dead, yet his minions rule the wastelands of Hyrule. There is, however, a way to resurrect the fowl being. If a descendant of Link were to have his blood spilled on the ground, Ganon will forever rule the world. Impa  Impa is the royal family of Hyrule's nursemaid, and a wise one at that. Impa knows more than anyone could imagine and it is her who explained to Link his destiny. The Legend of Zelda was passed down from her family to keep it safe, and once she saw Link's hand she showed him where the princess was asleep in North Castle. He then knew of the legend of the Great Palace, the location of the Triforce of Courage. She gave Link six crystals to place in the six palaces all over Hyrule to then gain access to the Great Palace. King of Hyrule  Long ago the King loved his people, he would do anything for them. All the people of Hyrule adored him as their ruler, and claimed that he was the true reason for peace in the land. Time flows, and the King was nearing his death, on his death bed he asked to speak his daughter. He told Zelda to protect the secret of the Triforce, even from her brother. He died with these words and to this day was Hyrule's greatest ruler. Prince of Hyrule  The ill tempered Prince had always dreamed of being King, and he was filled with joy at the sight of his father's death. The next day after the King had died, the Prince questioned Zelda about the location of the Royal treasure, the Triforce of Courage. Zelda refused to talk and so the Prince beat her and tortured her, yet she still said nothing. The prince then obtained a Wizard to carry out his bidding, only to his surprise, the Wizard went too far. Uneased by the Wizard's actions, the prince vowed to name all the daughters of the Royal Family to be born Zelda. The Evil Wizard  The one responsible for the sleeping Princess. The Wizard has a mysterious past, and a mysterious present. When the prince found him, he took matters into his own hands and threatened to put the Princess to eternal rest unless she were to share with him the ultimate secret. As she bravely refused, he did away with her, and cowered away from the prince's disapproval. He then disappeared into the woods and was never heard of again. |
