Soldier
Image
Possessed Hyrule soldiers that wield a sword and shield. Easy to defeat with a few sword swipes, however, charging with the Pegasus Boots is your best bet. Their colors vary with their difficulty, from green to blue and finally the toughest, red.

Knight
Image
Possessed Hyrule knights that use a powerful sword. The Hyrule Knight is stronger and faster than the normal soldier. Since the Knights have no shield, slashing it with your sword is most effective. Their colors vary with their difficulty, from green to blue and finally the toughest, red.

Archer
Image
Possessed Hyrule archers that use a mighty bow as their weapon. Archers can be defeated at both a short and long distance. In close range use your sword and Pegasus Boots, likewise at long range use your arrows and Hookshot. Their colors vary with their difficulty, from green to blue and finally the toughest, red.

Mace Knight
Image
Possessed Hyrule knights that wield a heavy mace. Mace knights are the highest class of Hyrule knights and therefore are the most powerful. They require many swipes with your sword to defeat them, Bombs are also useful. When in doubt, use your Boomerang to stop them in their tracks. Their colors vary with their difficulty, from green to blue and finally the toughest, red.

Armos Knights
Image
Stone statues that hold much evil inside of them, with a knight's training. If you touch these powerful displays, they will come to life and charge at you. Make sure to back up greatly as they do move fast. Use your Boomerang and Sword to defeat them easily.

Buzzblob
Image
Buzzblobs are tricky little electrical critters that roam the land of Hyrule. If you slash it with your sword, you will be hurt with an electrical shock. You can defeat them with your sword spin technique and other weapons. Also, if you were to sprinkle some Magic Powder on them something strange may happen...

Crow
Image
Crows of Hyrule are extremely hateful and will perch themselves on basically anything they can find. They are sometimes hard to defeat as they swoop down at high speeds, but a slash of your sword will send them away.

Scissor Crab
Image
Scissor Crabs are very rare creatures that often roam the watery areas of Hyrule. Any means of attacks can defeat these easily, but a good choice is to pull out your Ice Rod and blast them with a chill, rendering them helpless.

Geldarm
Image
A very simple creature that lives under the earth in desert regions. There is no trick to defeating the Geldarm, but beware as it can emerge out of the ground randomly to hurt Link. A few slashes with your sword will be more than enough to destroy him.

Geldman
Image
An evolution of the Geldarm family, and more powerful at that. Like the Geldarm, Geldmen emerge from the earth randomly and attack Link. Use any means necessary to defeat them, just be on the lookout in the desert!

Leever
Image
The Leever is an ancient creature of the deserts of Hyrule as it has been spotted by hunters for many generations. The Leever burrows underground and moves tremendously fast to attack Link. A few hits with any weapon will send it away for good.

Beamos
Image
Sacred statues build by evil forces to keep treasure hunters away from the palaces of Hyrule. Beamos have a gigantic eye that will emit a laser beam into its opponent if seen. There is no way for Link to defeat the Beamos, so just make sure you do not make eye contact!

Goriya
Image
The Goriya is an ancient tribe that is sworn to the evil Ganon. They often mirror Link's actions and movements with their mime talents. The green colored Goriya will mimic Link perfectly while the red colored Goriya will shoot an arrow at Link if they face each other. The trick is to dispose of them with an arrow or a piece of pottery.

Hinox
Image
Evil one-eyed monsters that lurk in the palaces of Hyrule. They hibernate for very long times until awakened by Link. As they come to life, they will immediately charge Link, but their giant eye will prove to be weak to an arrow. If you are short on arrows, a pot will destroy them in one blow. Green Hinox are weaker and more common than red Hinox.

Skeleton Warrior
Image
A simple and weak creature that is often found in the palaces of Hyrule. They are known to have quite refined jumping skills and will avoid most of Link's attacks, it is not impossible to hit them however. Blue skeletons will try to hurt Link by touching him, while the red ones will loosen their appendages to toss at him.

Octorock
Image
Ancient Octopus creatures that roam the land and spit rocks from their mouth. Octorocks have been spotted for generations and are not tough to defeat, for a simple sword slash will get rid of them quickly. They are mostly found in dry areas of Hyrule and move very fast.

Rat
Image
The lowest of creatures that inhabit the sewers and dark palaces of the land. Rats can be defeated by any means but are sometimes too fast to handle, use your best techniques to get rid of them quickly.

Bee
Image
Horrible creatures that nest in trees and small nooks in the overworld. Bees will not stop surrounding whoever touches them and are very hard to get rid of. If you are lucky enough to slash one with your sword, they will be gone. Link's best chance is to catch them in a bottle, or simply run away!

Octoballoon
Image
A floating creature of the Octorock family that holds much pressure inside. When encountered by Link, the Octoballoon becomes nervous and explodes, leaving many tiny babies of its own behind. The babies are not hard to defeat, except for their tremendous speed.

Vulture
Image
A particularly evil and mysterious creature often found roaming in the deserts of Hyrule. It is not vicious by any means, yet it is hard to kill simply because of its rapid swoops and turns.

Anti-Fairy
Image
Demons that repel against walls in palaces and drain Link's magic power. The Anti-Fariy can be rather annoying to anyone since it does not only drain Link's magic meter but also takes away from his life meter. A sprinkle of magic powder is the only way to get rid of it, yet it leaves behind a true fairy that will replenish your health.

Serpents
Image
Groups of stationary serpents that reside in the dark palaces. There is nothing dangerous about these creatures, as they do not attack or pose a threat. Simply attack them with any method you choose without touching their poisonous bodies.

Tektite
Image An ancient spider-like creature that breeds in the heights of Death Mountain in northern Hyrule. Tektites have been around for centuries and have never learned any dangerous means of attack, except for their exceptional jumping skills. Slash them with your sword or be safe and whip out your Bow and Arrow to kill them from a distance.

Floor Tile
Image
Many parts of Hyrule are possessed by the evil that is Ganon, even the palaces themselves. Some rooms in the dark underworlds have floor tiles that will come alive and hurl themselves at Link. The best way to get past them is to not just dodge them, but place yourself in a corner and fence them off with your sword.

Rhinobird
Image
A rather odd creature that has the ability to hover for moments in air. They are very simple creatures and are found in some caves along the valleys of Hyrule. Simple challenge them with your sword to dispose of them.

Rhinosaur
Image
Part of the Rhino family, these baddies are not very easy to get past. They are often caged up and will shoot fire from their snouts targeted at Link. Simply time your actions correctly so you can dodge them easily.

Swamola
Image
A very mysterious and dangerous creature that roams the Desert Palace of western Hyrule. They act as mobile sand creatures that travel by a sand whirlpool that can appear anywhere in the earth. Once they spout up, slash them with your sword before they emit a beam at Link and cause damage.

Squirrel
Image
A peaceful and frantic young monster that lives at Death Mountain. These little ones travel with short speed spurts and will catch Link off guard. If Link decides to slash them with his sword, they will turn in to statues of stone.

Shell Spider
Image
A well protected creature that is only found inside the many dungeons of Hyrule. These spider's outer body is so thick that if Link were to slash them, he would be repelled back at a fast rate. Your best bet is to bounce them into a open hole or to blast them away with a Bomb.

Zora
Image
An ancient water-based creature that dominates the lakes of Hyrule. These mean-spirited foe will emerge from a whirlpool and spit fire at Link as he passes by. Any long-ranged weapon will be efficient in disposing them, but it seems their master down at Zora's Waterfall is rather peaceful.

Reaper
Image
A sad ghost that roams the Graveyard in northern Hyrule. The Reaper means no harm to anyone, but it is likely to get in the way. Simply take out your sword and slash it twice to defeat it.

Blue Buri
Image
A small electrical creature that resembles a jelly-fish. These enemies can only be found deep within the palaces of Hyrule. The trick to these creatures is to slash them while they are not charged with electric energy. one swipe will destroy them.

Red Buri
Image
Almost identical to Blue Buri yet there is a slight twist. When you successfully strike the Red Buri they split into several miniature versions of themselves.

Mini Buri
Image
The tiny replicas of Red Buri which are formed upon their defeat. These are very simple to defeat but just be sure to wait for their electrical charge to cease.

Eye Keese
Image
Mutated forms of Keese that dwell in the Dark World. These are particular easy to defeat as they only swoop to attack Link. A sword swipe will be more than enough to take them out.

Helmasaur
Image
Small creatures that hide behind a mask that acts as a shell. Once you have obtained the Hammer, you can mash their face and render them defenseless. Once they are in their un-protected state, you can defeat them using your weapon of choice.

Killer Plant
Image
A small yet fearsome plant that hops at great speeds to attack Link. These plants roam the Dark World and can be defeated rather easily by any means necessary.

Pickit Plant
Image
A small motionless plant until Link steps next to it, as it will extend its tongue to steal from you. Pickit Plants can be found all over the Dark World and should be kept at a distance if you are saving rupees.

Medusa
Image
The Medusa are tiny seedlings that can strike Link from all over the Dark World. They can wiggle and jump towards Link at a slow pace so be sure to eliminate them as quickly before they reach you.

Rabbit Fang
Image
A small corrupted creature that is found in some of the more peaceful places in the Dark World. These little monsters can be defeated by means of your sword and any other weapon you choose.

Spiderock
Image
A small spider-like creature that can be seen in most dry places in the Dark World. As it is a mirror image of the Octorock, it paces back and forth and fires rocks at Link. Hit is with your sword a few times and it will be destroyed.

Bomb Knight
Image
A corrupted Hyrule knight with a Bomb equipped. These knights have an endless supply of Bombs that can hurt Link pretty bad. Simply avoid their explosions and go into combat with your sword to eliminate them.

Cyclops
Image
A powerful monster that is armored with very thick skin. These cyclop monsters is armed with a powerful Bomb that is quick to explode next to Link. These monsters will take about a dozen sword swipes to defeat, not very easy for Link to muster.

Cyclop Fish
Image
The Cyclop Fish are the mirror image of a Zora from the Light World. They function the same way in that they shoot fireballs at Link from their mouths. Any long-ranged weapon will surely destroy them in a few good hits.

Zol
Image
A rather large blob monster that is part of ancient Hyrule lore. Zol are often only found in the palaces of the Dark World and when hit, will split into several miniature versions called Gel.

Gel
Image
A Gel creature is much smaller than a Zol, and their power ratio is the same. Also found in Dark World palaces, they are not hard to get rid of. To defeat a Gel, simply swipe it with your sword or Boomerang.

Cloud
Image
Clouds are corrupted versions of Anti-Fairies. They do not reduce magic power but are still a nuisance nonetheless. It is best to just avoid Clouds because of their mysterious powers.

Daira
Image A mirrored image of a soldier that resides in the Dark World. Dairas are pretty smart and will often charge at Link and try to attack him. A few sword swipes will abolish them, yet the red ones may require more time.

Puffer
Image A mushroom-like creature that flies overhead in the Dark World to drop Bombs on Link. These can be easily defeated with a Magic Rod, your Boomerang or an arrow.

Wizzrobe
Image
A mystical wizard that has lurked the labyrinths of Hyrule for generations. They concoct magical spells that are impossible to defend against. They are also partially invisible so they will only be able to take damage when they can be seen. A few sword swipes will take care of them.

Wallmaster
Image
Horrible creatures that lurk inside the wall of all the palaces of Hyrule. Some are even known to jump from the ceiling to grab you, so be on alert. These hand creatures are known to bring Link back to the start of the dungeon. Shoot your Fire Rod directly at them to kill them with a single flame.

Aqua Beetle
Image
Small beetles that only inhabit shallow water. These move very fast and may burrow deeper inside the water, so once you see them, attack them with all you've got.

Ducky
Image
Mystical alligator-like creatures that have adapted to icey regions. Dairas are known to slide across ice at high speeds to charge into Link, and the best way to eliminate them is to set them aflame with your Fire Rod.

Lizard
Image
Small lizards that are the mirror image of rats that roam the wet region of the sewers of Hyrule. These are but simple creatures that can easily be defeated by your sword or even your Boomerang.

Skull Stone
Image
What looks to be an ordinary rock in the Dark World, will come to life and start attacking Link rapidly. These are most dangerous because of their random position. But you must not worry, for they will be defeated by a single sword swipe.

Gibdo
Image
Mummys that have been possessed by the evil Ganon to roam the dark palaces. While slashing them with your sword may take a few swipes, using your Fire Rod will set them on fire and quickly kill them.

Stalfos
Image
A deadly enemy that is said in Hyrule folklore to be the remains of a fierce warrior. Stalfos must be defeated by slashing them with your sword once, and then bombing the remains when they are stuck on the floor in a pile of bones. This is the only way to make sure they will not harm you again.

Poe
Image
Corrupted Reapers with a means to destroy Link. Poes can be found in the Graveyard in the Dark World, and can be defeated as easily as Reapers. You must watch out though, for they are much more aggressive.

Lynel
Image
Mountain Lions that roam the depths of Death Mountain. Lynels can be most deadly because of their beams that they emit directly at Link. They roam around enough so they are hard to take down, but once you get a clear shot, kill them with anything necessary so you will not have to deal with their beams.

Freezor
Image
A strange creature that only appears to reside on the icey walls in the Dark World. If Link comes too close, the Freezor will emerge from the wall and charge at Link. Your Fire Rod is the best means to destroy this creature and he will be gone quickly.
