4 Poe Sisters (Sub-Boss) ![]() Location: Spirit House in Ikana Canyon Description: The first of the four poe sisters is the green Amy. She can easily be defeated with a few arrows. Use your sword to kill the second and third, Beth, the Red one, and Jo, who is the blue one. Just be sure to watch out for their spin attack. The final Poe Sister, Meg who is the purple one, is a bit trickier as she will appear in a circle with three other poes which are imposters. You must hit the real Meg with either arrows or the Hookshot four times, and she will be defeated. Armos Statue ![]() Location: Ikana Ruins and Stone Tower Temple Description: A fairly abnormal statue which blends perfectly into the environment, until you touch it at least. Once they are touched they will come to life and start spinning around like mad trying to take your life. The best way to defeat these solid enemies is to wear the Goron Mask and use the Fire Punch. Two good hits, and the Armos Statue will be history. Baby Dodongo Location: Termina Field Description: Children of the Dodongo, you must use the same approach to kill one of these as you would trying to kill their parents. In other words, their tails are their weak point. Bad Bat Location: Throughout the Overworld Description: To avoid its attack either move quickly out of its way, or block it with your shield. The best means to defeat it is to use Z-Targeting together with a long range weapon such as the Boomerang or the Bow. Beamos ![]() Location: Stone Tower Description: Dangerous statue which emits lethal laser-beams. Your only protection against these beams is our Mirror Shield. To defeat a Beamos statue you must accurately throw a bomb at it, and then watch it explode. If you are out of bombs, the Blast Mask will also do the same job. Big Eeno ![]() Location: Snowy parts of Termina Field Description: A larger version of the Eeno, this creature will emerge out of the ground and throw snowballs at you. When you kill a Big Eeno it will break down into three normal Eenos, so beware. Just as Tatl will tell you, Eenos are suspectible to heat, so use attacks such as Bombs, Fire Arrows or the Fire Punch (Goron Mask) to inflict damage. Big Octo ![]() Location: Southern Swamp Description: This oversized Octorok will most definately give you a headache, unless you know how to defeat it at least. The only way to defeat this enemy is actually to take Kotake's Boat Ride. When you do your boat will run over it, and leave the tunnels these enemies are blocking open for your to pass through. Big Poe (Sub-Boss) ![]() Location: In the Well beneath Ikana Description: This giant poe will do what it can to stop you from getting through the well, but with his courage Link can easily defeat this foe. Just use your sword to stop its spin attack, and then your bow to take it out. Bio Deku Baba ![]() Location: In waters all over Termina Description: Annoying underwater plant which can certainly be a pain as it will snap at you if you get too close, or even if you try to stand at one of their pads. Once you spot one of these you can use the Zora Boomerangs, or another long-range weapon such as arrows, to kill it. Bio Mini Baba ![]() Location: Swamp Area and Woodfall Temple Description: The Mini Baba is a proof of the manifold within the enemies which can be found in Termina, as it is another type of Deku Plant. They hardly pose any peril to Link, and to actually take any damage from them you litterally have to walk into them. A single slash with your sword will take care of this "treat". Black Boe Location: Woodfall Temple Description: These dots of shadows are not very powerful, but spotting them can be hard since they often hide in the dark and wait for a potential victim to come along. And if that was not enough, they usually appear in large groups. The best way to dispose of these annoying creatures is to simply swing your sword like a mad-man. Blue Bubble ![]() Location: All over Termina, Overworld and Dungeons Description: If you make contact with this flying skull Link will be jinxed and unable to draw his weapons. To cure this curse you can either wait until it wears off, or play the Song of Storms. Since avoiding contact with this enemy is crucial, the best approach to kill it is to use a long-range weapon such as the Bow. It takes two hits to kill it however, one to remove its protective blue bubble and wings, and another one to kill it. Bombchu ![]() Location: Ikana Road Description: The Bombchu is what inspired the very famous "Bombchu Bomb", and if you know of that you will know what this enemy is all about. Once it sees you it will run like mad towards you and explode after a while. Protect yourself against them with your shield, or simply try to avoid them. There is no use in trying to actually defeat this enemy. Deep Python ![]() Location: Pinnackle Rock Description: A tricky fish which resides in the underwater caves. It will come out to attack you if you get too close, and the best means to avoid taking damage is to use the Barrier attack as Zora Link, also known as the Electric Shield. Deku Baba ![]() Location: Swamp Area and Woodfall Temple Description: These plant creatures are familiar to anyone who has ever played a Zelda game on the Nintendo 64, and of course they appear in Majora's Mask too. As always they appear early in the game, and their attacks are rather weak and easy to avoid. Slash it quickly with your sword before it gets time to attack, and you will get another Deku Stick to add to your inventory. Desbreko ![]() Location: Great Bay Temple Description: This is an evolved version of the Skullfish which you will also in this temple, and other places. Once it senses you it will pursue you and damage you up to several times if possible. Not to mention that there are usually many of these around, so try to avoid them as far as it is possible, or use the Zora Boomerangs or Bow to kill as many as possible before you think about diving into the water. Dinolfos (Sub-Boss) ![]() Location: Woodfall Temple and Snowhead Temple Description: Large, standing Lizards which are skilled in the art of fighting. You must Z-Target the Dinolfos and block/dodge their attacks until you see an opening to get in a strike with your own sword. Be careful and get away quickly after you get in a hit, as they will breathe fire in your direction at this point! Dexihand Location: Great Bay Temple Description: This evil hand will grab you if you get close and throw you back in the direction you came from. Its skinny arms can easily be cut over with the Zora Boomerangs. Dodongo ![]() Location: Termina Field Description: It can be assumed that the Dodongo, just as in Hyrule, originates from Death Mountain. If not they at least seem to enjoy the snowy environment they have settled in. Regardless they are rather slow enemies which are not worth the neccessary trouble unless you are in need of money. If want to get rid of them however, their tail is their weak point, and they are particulary vulnerable to the Goron Fire Punch. Dragonfly ![]() Location: Deku Palace Area and Woodfall Temple Description: Just as the average air-borne enemy it is wise to take out the Dragonfly with a long-range weapon. The danger with this one lies in its electrifying tail which will not only cause damage, but also knock you to the floor. Eeno Location: Snowy parts of Termina Field Description: Slow moving enemy which comes out of the ground, and throw snowballs at you. Block the snowballs with your sword and kill this enemy. Use a fiery attack for maximum effectivity. Eyegore (Sub-Boss) ![]() Location: Stone Tower Temple Description: One of the last enemies you will encounter in the Stone Tower Temple. You must draw close to Eyegore and wait for its eye to turn yellow, and once it does fire an arrow directly at it. Now watch out for its attacks, and then repeat this until Eyegore has been defeated. Fire Keese Location: Dungeons Mainly Description: Compared to the normal Keese this one inflicts twice as much damage, but it is also much easier to spot because of the flames. Just use Z-Targeting and a long-range weapon such as the Bow, and killing it before it dives into you should not be a problem. Floormasters ![]() Location: Ikana Castle Description: This giant hand will damage you rather badly if it gets a hold of you, so beware. It is extremely suspectible to light, so if you have a source nearby use the Mirror Shield and reflect light in its direction to split it into three smaller hands, which must be killed the same way. If there is no light, and you do not have the Light Arrows, you must fight off these with your sword! Freezard ![]() Location: Snowhead Area Description: Its icy breath will freeze you into a statue of ice and drain your life. Also be sure to stay clear of physichal contact with this living ice berg, as it will also damage you if you touch it. The best way to kill it is naturally by using a fire based attack such as the Fire Arrows, but your sword will also do the job. Garo ![]() Location: Ikana Description: A Garo warrior will never appear to a stranger, which means you will have to wear Garo's Mask before this ninja swordsman will challenge you to a fight. Once the fight is on, stay within the circle of flames and keep your guard up to its attacks, either by blocking it with your shield or by using your sword. As soon as you see that the time is right, attack it with all your sword-power! Once you defeat it the Garo is bound to give you a useful piece of information. Garo Master (Sub-Boss) ![]() Location: Stone Tower Temple Description: This is the Master of all the Garos, and it is much faster, bigger and more skilled than the normal Garo. When fighting him Z-Target and keep your shield up and beware of his strong attacks. Once you get the chance, fire an Ice Arrow at him and then quickly slash him with your sword. Repeat this until the Garo Master is defeated, and then take cover as he will explode once the fight is over. Gecko (Sub-Boss) ![]() Location: Woodfall Temple and Great Bay Temple Description: Gecko is a fast mover, and you must combine your sword skills and timing to get in any hits at all. When fighting him in the temples, Gecko will call in his friends after a few hits. You can see more detailed techniques to defeat these under Gecko & Snapper and Mad Jelly. Gecko & Snapper (Sub-Boss) ![]() Location: Woodfall Temple Description: The key to defeating this sub-boss is to seperate Gecko from his companion, Snapper. You do this the same way as you would go about simply defeating a normal Snapper, either use Bombs or shoot yourself out of the deku launcher the exact moment it is over the pad. Once you seperate the two, shoot Gecko down from the ceiling by using arrows. Gerudo Pirate (Sub-Boss) ![]() Location: Gerudo Fortress Description: Just like the Gerudo Thieves from Hyrule, the Gerudo Pirates in Termina are skilled fighters, and very gifted when it comes to handling their swords. There is no secret in fighting a Gerudo Pirate, you simply need to be patient and defend yourself well, then when the time is right and you see a good opening you must try to get in some attacks of your own. Giant Bee ![]() Location: Beehives throughout Termina Description: Not the toughest of enemies, but certainly among the most annoying ones. If it is on to you, you are unlikely lucky to escape without a fight. Fortunately it is a fight which rarely involves more than a swing of your sword, sometimes two. Gibdo ![]() Location: Ikana Village, Inside the Ikana Well Description: The Gibdo is very similar to a ReDead, and it will freeze you in the same manner and jump on you to drain life from your gauge, if you get too close for its liking that is. Since it is hard, yet not impossible, to defeat it with your sword without being frozen, the best way to get rid of a Gibdo is to use the Fire Arrows. Gold Skulltula ![]() Location: Skulltula Houses (Swamp, Great Bay) Description: Gold Skulltulas are slow and not very mobile enemies, but their secret lies within their magic which is associated with curses. When killing all of the Gold Skulltulas in an area and collecting the tokens they leave behind, you will be setting someone free of a dreaful curse. Gomess (Sub-Boss) ![]() Location: Stone Tower Temple Description: Before you can even think about handling Gomess, you need to deal with the large amount of bats surrounding him. Once you have done this, put on your Bunny Hood as you will need it to keep up with Gomess. Hit him with a Light Arrow and then quickly slash him with your sword. If you manage to avoid it when he attacks with his large sword, you will soon see the end of this foe. Green ChuChu ![]() Location: Termina Field, Dungeons Description: If you spot a Green ChuChu there is really no reason to be afraid, infact you can actually celebrate because since it will leave behind a Magic Container once you defeat it, allowing you to refill your Magic Gauge. When these appear in dungeons they look more yellow, but when they are infact Green ChuChus. Confusing? Indeed. However whether it is yellow, green, blue or in all the colours of the rainbow the ChuChu still represents little or no threat at all to you. Guay Location: All over Termina Description: Bird type enemy which will try to damage you with its beak when it swoops down at you. To kill it just wait until it is close enough, then attack it with your sword. That's all there is to it. Hiploop ![]() Location: Woodfall Temple Description: When you encounter one of these enemies you must be careful, for if you come near it will turn towards you and reveal its giant eye, and try to charge at you. As Deku Link you must shoot it twice with a Bubble, the first time to stun it and once more to finish it. Ice Keese ![]() Location: Snowhead Area (Including the Temple) Description: Another bat type of enemy, this one is surrounded by an icy, flame like substance. It is by far the most dangerous Keese as it will freeze you solid if you let it touch you. You will need to use the same approach as with the other Keeses to kill it, use a long-range weapon such as the Boomerang or the Bow and Z-Targeting to get rid of it before it even gets the time to attack you. Ikana King (Sub-Boss) ![]() Location: Ikana Castle Description: Fighting the late King Yigorse of Ikana is not very different from fighting the King's Servants, which you have hopefully just defeated. You just have to be more careful not to loose all your life, as the King is much stronger than his servants. Other than that, just use the exact same method of knocking him out and then reflect sun light at him with your Mirror Shield. Iron Knuckle (Sub-Boss) ![]() Location: Ikana Graveyard and Inside the Moon Description: A legend in all the lands of Zelda, the Iron Knuckle will put up a tremendous fight. If you are out to defeat it the first thing you should do is weaken it with the Song of Storms. From here on and out however, you are only depending on your own fighting skills. Do not attempt to block its attack as no shield is strong enough to do so, meaning you will have to constantly keep dodging them, and then when you see an opportunity to get in a good hit with your sword, grab it, the opportunity that is! Keese Location: Various Temples and Caverns Description: Very similar to the Bad Bat, the Keese is a little stronger, and usually attacks in larger numbers. You must be careful and try to kill them as early as possible using the Bow or the Boomerang and Z-Targeting, as once they start attacking you they can be difficult to fend off. King's Servants (Sub-Boss) ![]() Location: Ikana Castle Description: First you must use the Fire Arrows to burn away the curtains in front of the windows. Next, fight them until they pass out. Now they will recover quickly, but for as long as they are down reflect the sun light at them with your Mirror Shield. Repeat these steps until they have been defeated. Leever ![]() Location: Termina Field and Great Bay Description: Leevers are not among the strongest enemies, but with their pace and constant movement they can be severely pesky at times. You can kill them with as good as any attack, and if you are riding Epona you do not even have to think about these enemies as she will simply step on them if they get too close. Like Like ![]() Location: Great Bay Area Description: According to a citizen from Hyrule this enemy would make a great leader, well the exact quote was "World leaders and shield-eaters have many likes-a-like!". As you probably understand this giant blob of jelly will take your shield, after it eats you whole and spits you again, that is. You can kill it with any attack, just be careful and don't let it eat you. Mad Armos ![]() Location: Stone Tower Temple Description: This is a bigger and more sophisticated version of the Armos, and it is certainly more difficult to defeat. Once you approach it, the Mad Armos will float up into the air and try to crush you from above. Needless to say you must be extremely prudent when you encounter one of these statues of death. The clue to defeating them is to use the Light Arrows and then quickly get out of the way as it will flip over and try to crush you. If you manage to get out of the way it will crash into the ground so hard that it explodes. Mad Jelly (Sub-Boss) ![]() Location: Great Bay Temple Description: Mad Jelly will detach itself from the ceiling and try to crush you with its fall. To avoid this freeze it with your Ice Arrows, and then fight off Gecko before it calls Mad Jelly back. Mad Scrub ![]() Location: Deku Palace Description: Similar to the Business Scrubs the Mad Scrubs live inside a flower in the ground, from which it will pop out and attack you by shooting Deku Nuts at you like mad, hence the "mad" part of its name, when you come close. Just block its attacks, and then use a long-range item to kill it. Mini Baba ![]() Location: Swamp Area and Woodfall Temple Description: Yet another version of the enemies from the Deku Plant, and this one like the others, is not much of a threat. A simple slash with your sword will do if you want to dispose of it. Nejiron ![]() Location: Ikana Road Description: This enemy which will come out of the ground will remind you of a Goron, but it certainly is not one. If you try to attack it, or even just accidently touch it, Nejiron will self-destruct and explode right in your face! If you insist on killing it, though just avoiding it altogether is the easiest way, use your Bow. At least make sure you are at a safe distance before you shoot it, or you just might find yourself lieing on the ground seconds later. Octorok ![]() Location: Ikana Canyon, Great Bay Temple Description: Water based enemy which will hide below the surface if you get too close. The easiest and best way to defeat them is simply to deflect the rocks they fire at you right back at them, using your shield. If you find it difficult to actually get in a hit, just use Z-Targeting. Pea Hat ![]() Location: Cavern below Termina Field Description: Peahat is a giant, flying enemy which will try to attack you from the air with its spinning blades. Its weak point is the root, and that is where you must attack it. Just be cautious and patient and avoid taking too much damage, and the Peahat won't cause too much of a problem for you. Pea Hat Larva Location: Cavern below Termina Field Description: The Pea Hat will ocasionally spit out these small creatures. Just swing your sword to defeat this larva. Poe ![]() Location: Stone Tower Temple Description: Ghostly creature that will appear out of thin air. If you try to Z-Target it, it will disappear. Be sure to get rid of it before it starts doing its own version of the spin attack, or else it can be rather dangerous. The Bow or your Sword will do just fine when battling a Poe. Red Bubble ![]() Location: Snowhead Temple Description: Just as the Blue Bubble this enemy will jinx you and make you unable to use your sword for a short period of time, if it touches you that is. Just protect yourself with your sword and its fiery bubble will disappear and you can then defeat it with your sword. Red ChuChu ![]() Location: Termina Field and Road to the Swamp Description: A different coloured version of the jelly blob, this one like the others make no threat to Link. Just kill them with your sword, and if your Life Gauge is not full you will get a small heart to replenish it with, and if it is full you will most likely get a Rupee. ReDead ![]() Location: Ikana Castle Description: Just as the Gibdo, this zombie-like creature will stop you in your tracks with its paralyzing gaze and jump on you to suck the life out of you. You can battle it with your sword if you wish, but if you are wearing the Captain's Hat or the Gibdo Mask the ReDeads will not attack you, and you can walk freely among them. Sharp (Sub-Boss) ![]() Location: Ikana Canyon Description: Sharp the Composer is the evil brother of Flat. It is said that they once made music for the Royal Family of Ikana, but then Sharp turned evil and sold himself to the devil. Since you have hopefully already encountered Flat before you meet up with Sharp, you already have what you need to stop Sharp -- The Song of Storms. Simply play the song on your Ocarina infront of Sharp, and this "fight" will be over. Shell Blade ![]() Location: Great Bay Area Description: Clam-like enemy which has a sensitive inside. The only way to get them to reveal their volnerable inside is to get as close as possible and make it attack you. You will then get a chance to dispose of it, and if you use Z-Targeting and your Bow that should not be much of a problem. Beware of these enemies when they come in large numbers however, as they can be fairly dangerous and difficult to defeat then. Skull Fish ![]() Location: Great Bay Temple Description: Skulls of Fish which will attack you if you get too close. Use the Zora Boomerang and Z-Targeting to kill these enemies before they get a chance to attack and damage you. Skull Keeta (Sub-Boss) ![]() Location: Ikana Graveyard Description: This fight is certainly an interesting one. The very first thing you must do is wake your enemy to life by playing the Sonata of Awakening. Once the fight starts, equip the Bunny Hood, and chase after Skull Keeta. Use Fire Arrows to slow him down, and as soon as you get close enough you can start hitting the giant with your sword. His attacks should not cause too much trouble. Skulltula ![]() Location: Various Temples Description: Giant Spider which is hiding below the roof and waiting for Link to come around. Once you come close it will come down from below the roof and try to block your way. Wait for it to turn its soft backside towards you, and then simply just swing your sword at it. Snapper ![]() Location: Woodfall Temple Description: Turtle like enemy which will spin attack with spikes once it spots you. To expose their weak bellies you must either time a bomb to explode right next to time, use the Blast Mask, or launch from inside a deku launcher exactly when they spin over the pad. Once you have its belly revealed quickly hit it with your sword. Stalchild ![]() Location: Ikana Graveyard Description: These skeletons were once cursed soldiers of the Kingdom of Ikana, and they probably offered a much better fight back in the days. Now they will do little or no damage to you unless you actually let them, and one or two slashes with your sword will be enough to kill them. Takkuri ![]() Location: Termina Field, near Milk Road Description: Killing a Takuri is valuable, but perhaps not worth the risk. If you manage to kill it you will get a whopping 200 Rupees, but if you fail you might end up loosing some of your most valuable items. The safest way to battle one of these kleptomania-infested birds, is to Z-Target and use your sword to attack it, and it will drop loads of Rupees until it has been defeated. If you are unlucky and loose one of your items you can purchase it back at the Curiosity Shop in Clock Town. Tektite ![]() Location: Mountain Village and Goron Shrine Description: This blue enemy will jump up and down try to stop you on your way. You can easily avoid its rather harmless attacks, but the Tektite can also be killed just as easily with your sword. Wallmaster ![]() Location: Ikana, Stone Tower Temple Description: Not to be confused with the Floormaster, the Wallmaster will drop down from the walls and try to get a hold of Link, and if it does it will take you back to the entrance of the dungeon. Once you see a growing shadow beneath you be assured that it is indeed this oversized hand that is trying to catch you. Step away from the shadow and kill it with your sword when it comes down. Wart (Sub-Boss) ![]() Location: Great Bay Temple and Secret Shrine Description: Pink bubbles will be shielding the main source of trouble here which is the eye. What you must do is fend off all the bubbles and blast them off with your sword. Once all the bubbles have been eliminated use your sword or your bow to defeat the eye, which will only take damage when it is open. White Boe ![]() Location: Snowhead Temple Description: Since they are located in the snowy areas of the land, White Boes can be just as hard to spot as the Black Boes are in the dark. The White Boes also attack in groups, so just defeat as many of them as possible, as quickly as possible, to avoid any serious damage. Darmani's Fire Punch is a good way to do just that. White Wolfos ![]() Location: Snowhead Area Description: Just as any wolf the White Wolfos will put up quite a fight. The trick to be the victorious part of this fight is to keep your guard up patiently waiting for the Wolfos looses its guard. This often happens right when it prepares to attack you! You will need to get in quite a few good hits to defeat this enemy. Wizrobe (Sub-Boss) ![]() Location: Woodfall, Snowhead and Stone Tower Temples and Secret Shrine Description: Wherever you find this guy, he will also use the same tactic which consists of two stages. In his first stage he will move around between the teleporters, and all you need to do is spot him and then fire arrows at him. His second stage is a little more difficult however, and you will need to seperate the actual Wizrobe (which is spinning around) from his decoys. Once you find him run over to him and slash away with your sword! Wolfos ![]() Location: Swamp Road Description: Fighting a normal Wolfos is pretty much the same as fighting a White Wolfos, and you must use the same method to defeat a normal Wolfos. The only real difference is that the normal Wolfos is a little weaker, and can be defeated with fewer hits. Yellow ChuChu ![]() Location: Termina Field, Great Bay Temple Description: As mentioned in the description of the Green ChuChu, the Yellow ChuChu actually looks like a completely transparent ChuChu inside dungeons, while out on Termina Field it will have a more yellow look to itself. All in all it is easy to be confused by the different ChuChus, and what kind they really are, but this does not really matter as they can all be defeated easily with your sword. Out on Termina Field the Yellow ChuChu will have arrows, which can be collected one it dies, inside its jelly body. Inside dungeons however, they do not carry anything with them, and are used mainly to be freezed into blocks of ice. |
