Link Link is the hero of this quest to save the Princess Zelda. Although he is a rather young boy, he posseses much courage and strength. One day in the field, Impa, the princess' nursemaid, came to Link in a struggle for her life. She explained to Link that he must collect the scattered pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom and save Zelda. As she collapsed in Link's arms he knew his destiny. He venturned straight ahead into a cave and started his grand adventure. Princess Zelda  Zelda is the young and beautiful royal youth of Hyrule. She has been extremely gifted with many things since she was very young. Early in the story, she was captured by Ganon, an evil being in search of the Triforce. To save Hyrule, Zelda quickly shattered her Triforce of Wisdom into eight pieces to hide from the evil king. The princess is being kept in the heart of Spectacle Rock, a massive structure high on Death Mountain. Legend says only Link will be able to save her. Impa  Impa is the princess' old and gentle nursemaid. She considers Zelda her own daughter and loves her very much, so much that she would do anything to protect her. After an unexpected attack on Hyrule Castle, Impa fled wounded to find a young lad with enough courage to save the kingdom. She then found Link, the one boy who she knew would be able to rescue the princess, and gave him her dying words. Old Man  A kind and wise man that lurks through the several caves and dungeons of Hyrule. This man is said to have some magic powers and abilities, but no one has any proof. When Link encounters him during his journey, he often gives helpful tips that will lead to the rescue of the princess. He will provide Link with his first weapon, the legendary Wooden Sword. Old Woman  A rather shy and crafty old woman that lives throughout caves in Hyrule. She is skilled in the art of making potions, but will not hand them out to anyone. She only accepts customers with a Letter from the old man, for then she will sell her healing spells to Link. Shopkeeper  The Shopkeeper runs many stores all over the vast land of Hyrule. Some of his shops are hidden well, so only true heros will be skilled enough to uncover them. He sells Link many useful items and will always have merchandise available for him. Beware though, some of his houses have delicate doors and if Link were to break one, he may have to pay for it! |
