Since the original Legend of Zelda was released back in the late
1980's, Nintendo has pumped out numerous products in an attempt to
squeeze money of the the Zelda-brand. Luckily most of these things
turned out to attract little interest, as the Zelda fans were, and
still are, mainly interested in the games. Below is a list of some of
the different Zelda merchandise Nintendo has released. If you are interested in buying any of these items, buying it used at online auctions like eBay are your best chance, as most of these products are out of production. If you have pictures of additional Zelda related merchandise that is not listed in our directory, please feel free to send them to us through e-mail, and we will put them up here and share them with other Zelda fans. You will get full credit for all submitted content. JacketWith a jacket featuring a piece of official art which looks like Link from A Link to the Past, you just knew that the other kids would envy you at school. The fact that the colours make it look like it is the official jacket for Sweden's national hockey team didn't exactly lower your rank on the coolness-scale either! SweatshirtThis is a cool Sweatshirt featuring the Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time logo. Very nice indeed! T-ShirtAnother piece of Zelda clothing, this black T-Shirt is of the same style as the Swatshirt above, with the Ocarina of Time logo on the chest. It was available to some lucky persons who pre-ordered Ocarina of Time. T-ShirtBased on the original Legend of Zelda, featuring sprites of the items, and even the original in-game font, you know that you are a Zelda freak if you wear this out in the public. But that is something our kind would be proud of! CurtainsWhat better way to cover your windows than doing it with the help of Link himself? You would have to display Mario as well, as these curtains were combined with both Zelda and Mario motives. SheetsThese sheets have got the same motive as the curtains above, and they were released at the same time. At the time, they could be bought in sets containing both the Sheets and the Curtains! Ganondorf Action FigureAfter Ocarina of Time, Nintendo desperately wanted to get more out of the Money-Milk-Cow, and therefore released a series of Action Figures based on the characters in the game. Of course, the Evil King himself was represented, and he had his horse with him as well. Link Action FigureFrom the same series as the Ganondorf Action Figure, this one was of Link and Epona. Zelda and Impa Action FiguresSince Zelda didn't have her own horse, they just threw Impa in the package as an excuse to put in a horse in this package as well. Don't take that too serious, but at least it could be true! Link Action FigureFrom the looks of it, it seems that this Action Figure of Link is not a part of the same series as the ones above. Nevertheless, it features Adult-Link from Ocarina of Time, fully equipped with his Hylian-Shield and The Master Sword. Link & EponaOcarina of Time got its own action figures, and it wouldn't be fair at all if Majora's Mask didn't get some too. This one features Link and his trusted horse Epona. Majora's Mask Action Figure SetsThis set featured the traditional Link model, and the three other shapes he could take in Majora's Mask; the Zora guitarist Mikau, the Goron warrior Darmani, and the nameless Deku Scrub which also had some additional masks as well. As far as we know, this set was never released outside of Japan. Vintage Figure SetThis Vintage Figure Set included an entire setting, instead of the the figure. This one is modelled after Link from the original Legend of Zelda, and it is therefore realistic to believe that it was released during the late 1980's. Key ChainWith the help of the Hero of Time it was almost impossible to lose your keys. This small treat hit the market right after Ocarina of Time was released, and it features Adult-Link. Candy DispenserThis nice Candy Dispenser featuring Links head was recently released along with a truck-load of other Zelda/Nintendo related candy. LollipopThis Lollipop which I bought at the local-candy store, I never intended to taste. However, the temptation became too big one day, and I had to taste. It gave me a green tounge, but other than that, it tasted okay. Link Plush-DollQuite a few years ago a series of plush-dolls based on the Legend of Zelda series was released. Naturally, Link starred here as well. Seems like this is were they got the motive for Cell-Shaded Link! Zelda Plush-DollFrom the same series as the Link Doll above, the clothes worn by Zelda here reveals that these are actually based on the Ocarina of Time characters! Goron Plush-DollFinally some well deserved attention for the Gorons! Clock Town WatchWatch that featured the decor from the clock on the Clock Tower in Majora's Mask, and in addition it had the MM logo as well as Link engraved on the back. Oni Link WatchThis might very well be the coolest Zelda watch ever to be released. It is from Majora's Mask, and the design gives it an exclusive feel. This is something you do want to own if you ever get the chance to purchase it. Zelda WatchNow this watch on the other hand, just screams "cheap-watch-which-would-only-be-purchased-by-Zelda-freaks". Released in association with the original Legend of Zelda. Pink Zelda WatchPretty much the same as the watch above, only this one is pink, and that doesn't make it any better. It also featured a poor excuse for a Zelda game, but at least that makes it more valuable as memorabilia. OoA Pocket WatchVery nice Pocket Watch from Oracle of Ages, with Link's face engraved on the front. It was delievered in an exclusive-looking case with the OoA logo. This snazzy looking Pocket Watch was one of the many products that was released after the success of Ocarina of Time, and features the logo of the game. CerealWe already knew that all of us who were kids back in the eighties were crazy, but the Nintendo Cereal System confirms it once and for all. The berry-tasting Zelda cereal didn't even taste all that good, but we just had to eat it in spite, because it was Zelda, and Zelda was "really-rad"! PlatesNintendo did naturally know that when we were eating the Zelda cereal, we needed Zelda plates to make the feeling complete, and thus, enter: the Zelda plates. BookmarkWith this bookmark from Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, you won't have any problems finding back to the page you stopped on when you were reading your Zelda comics. Trash CanWho would have thought that you would ever be aiming your trash at Link? Well back after the original Legend of Zelda was released, you could do just that if you got your hands on this trash can. Zelda PinIf you are a Pin collector and a Zelda fan like me, this pin featuring Young Link riding Epona, is a must-have! |
