Comics
Through the years since the Zelda franchise was started, there have been many attempts to bring the series over to other mediums rather than just games, one of them being the shape of a comic series. We have prepared information on these for you, and you can even read them online!
A Link to the Past Comic

A Link to the Past Comic CoverThese comics were originally serialized in the Nintendo Power magazine. The first chapter was released in January 1992, and the series ran up to December the same year. The story loosely follows the plot of the third Zelda game, A Link to the Past, but new twists and characters were added to ensure the readers elements of surprise. The comics were designed by one of Japan's most famous comic book creators, Shotaro Ishinomori. You can read these comics online, all twelve chapters. Select from the menu below.

Hyrularity

Hyrularity Comic CoverHyrularity is an exclusive Zelda Universe comic series (not a Nintendo-endorsed official comic), with the art being made by talented site artist MissKari, and the plot is written by her partner in crime, Eric (alias Veedeo). The series is modelled after the new and exciting art introduced in The Wind Waker, and you will get to meet both familiar faces such as Link and Zelda, and new characters like Lindy the bird-boy!

Unfortunately this comic series is no longer in production, as the creators simply did not have the time to keep it up. So we will never really know how Link's epic quest for milk really ended ...
