 These creepy
one-eyed leaping spiders are liable to jump in any direction at any
time, so make sure you keep your distance. There are both red and
blue colored Tektites. The red creatures can leap much farther
than the blue ones, and have more life force as well. Tektites
have little fighting
power, so it's best to stay back and strike with projectiles.

Octoroks are a breed of octopus that live on
land and shoot rocks from their snout, thus earning them their quirky
name. There are indeed two types of Octoroks, blue Octoroks are
far stronger than the red, so watch out! While your sword is
typically Link's best bet for defeating these creatures, placing a bomb
at the right place will kill a few of them in one-hit.

No one ever expects a Leever. They live in the ground and eat up
the energy of creatures that
approach them. When Link enters an area covered in sand or thin dirt,
chances are there are Leevers watching him. Blue Leevers are a
little stronger, but the red ones
don't have much attacking power. Use strong weapons to defeat these
creatures, but perhaps setting a bomb right as they come up from the
ground is a good idea!

 Peahats are interesting creatures.
Some say each Peahat is a ghost of a flower that onced bloomed in
Hyrule. They have little attacking power, but they manage to
bounce and flutter all over the place. The tricky thing about Peahats
is Link can kill it only when it
is standing still. Simply wait until it is completely still, then strike!

A bulldog-like goblin that lives in the forest. Moblins are said to
have been Ganon's closest relative. The Prince Of Darkness
himself would have used them as guards, but they are a bit too
reckless. Moblins attack by throwing spears and shooting arrows.
Link must dodge their projectiles and land a few good hits to destroy them.

Armos are Hylian soldiers who have been turned
into a stone statue. Most of their power comes from their agonizing
pain. Armos move and attack
if touched by Link, so be cautious. He has a fair amount of attacking
power, and usually travel in groups. If you accidentally touch an
Armos, use hand to hand combat or place a bomb as they wake up.

The Ghini are the ghosts who live in the graveyard. There are two types
of these monsters. There are
Ghinis who are there from the beginning, and those who
appear when Link touches the gravestones. Ghinis have about the same
power as an Armos. To defeat all the Ghini in the area, find the master
ghost and focus attacking him.

These guardians of Death Mountain will attack all who come near. Watch
out! They are pretty strong, and Link's shield cannot stop their
swords. Lynels are something to be afraid of, especially if you
run into a blue one. Use your Boomerang several times to stun
these creatures, then use your sword to destroy them.

Half-fish, half-woman who lives in the water. When she sticks her head
out of the water she lets out a ball that Link's shield cannot hold
back, no matter what. Whenever you see a Zola, it is best to just
run away. However, if you feel you must destroy it, use projectiles to damage the creature. Since arrows move
fast through the air, a few shots with you bow will work
quickly.

These rocks crumble off Death Mountain and fall down at Link. He
cannot destroy these natural nuisances. Rocks are most
unpredictable when it comes to direction, so you can never be safe
enough. A good strategy is to stay at the bottom
of the screen so it takes longer for the rocks to reach you.
Remember, there is nothing wrong with running!

You might have heard of jelly-like monsters that
bounce around in the Labyrinths, these are known as Zols and Gels. When
Link
cuts a Zol, it splits into two Gels. Gels have little attacking power,
but Zols have twice as much power as Gels. A
quick trick of ridding yourself of these nuisances is using your
Boomerang to quickly destroy Gels!

A poisonous snake that made the Labyrinths its
home. It senses other
creatures quickly, and suddenly comes after them (and Link is no
exception) once it has found them out. This one hasn't got a lot
of attacking power, though. If you enter a room with a lot of Rope, use
your Boomerang to stop them in your tracks, giving you the opporitunity
to strike.

Vire is a hopping devil that controls the Keese in
the Labyrinths. When Link cuts it with a
sword, it turns into two Keese. Projectiles are very effective against
the jumping Vire. Keese are tiny bats that will stop to
catch their breath from time to time, which is when you should use your
Boomerange for a quick kill. Keese have little attacking power,
and
Vire are a little stronger.

A skeleton that has a sword in each hand. These
ancient warriors are summoned by the powers of Ganon. These
knights are said to have been Hylian Guards when they were alive.
These creatures arn't very strong, for they have little attacking
power, but the danger lies in numbers. Most means of weaponry
will be
effective against them.

A monster hand that appears out of the Labyrinth
walls. If it catches Link, it takes him back to the entrance to the
Labyrinth. Your best bet is to stay away from these, but if you must
destroy them to advance, there are a few tricks. Touch the wall,
and keep tossing your Boomerang until you have caught all of the
creatures in one space. Once they are frozen, slash your sword
several times or lay a few bombs for a quick kill. This way you
destroy all the Wall Masters in the room at once!

A little devil that lives underground in the
Labyrinths and uses two boomerangs to attack. There are
two of his type, blue ones and red ones. Watch out for the blue ones,
they are strong and require much more force to kill. Be sure to
keep your distance and use projectiles like your Magic Wand to your
advantage.

The Master of Movement. He appears here and there
letting out magic
spells that Link's shield can't hold back. These mages are very strong
for a number of reasons. It is impossible to predict where they
are going to appear next, so you must pick a spot and be ready to
attack. Projectiles work well from far distances, but most
importantly, watch out!

These heavily armored knights live in the
Labyrinths of Hyrule, and some argue that they are the most difficult
foe in the land. They have lots of attacking
power, and repel Link's attacks from the front with their
shields. You must use your sword to attack their sides or they
back, but beware of the blue ones, they take many hits before they
die. Their rapid movement makes it difficult when they travel in packs. A skilled bomber may have some success...

A ghost with big ears and a weak point - he hates
loud noise. These odd and mysterious creatures mostly keep to
themselves, however, they can push Link to do some minor damage.
Legend suggests that the dissonance of Link's Whistle is enough to
anger them. This may be the easiest way to defeat these monsters.

A gigantic centipede. Attacking his head won't work. Boy! Does he move
fast! Your task is to attack his tail until he becomes shorter
and shorter. Unfortunately, due to his speed this becomes rather
difficult. Red Lanmolas are fast enough, but if you come across a
blue one prepare to have one heck of a fight.

A tube-like monster that has a soft spot for Magic
Shields. These creatures are unique because
they will not directly attack our hero, Link. However, if Link
gets too close to a Like Like, they will devour him whole and possibly
take his shield. If you get caught inside, slash your sword until
you are released. Overal projectiles should do the trick.

The mummy man. He's got some strange powers, and
some pretty powerful attacking force. His movement is similar to
that of a Stalfos, so beware. His attack are rather passive, so
it is best to keep your distance and destroy them with sword beams and
your Magic Wand. However, perhaps stunning them with your
Boomerang will do some good.

A huge worm living in the Labyrinths. It grows
smaller as Link attacks. Not so strong. You can bet if you enter
a room with sand, these creatures will appear. They are not
exactly tough to defeat, but you must use some close combat techniques
in order to be successful. These shouldn't cause Link much
trouble.

The Patra attack in groups, in two types of
formations. Both formation groups are strong, so be on your toes!
The first formation has the mother in the center while its babies make
a perfect circle around them. However, the second, more
challenging formation entails a helix formed by the babies. You
must use your Boomerang and Sword to slowly kill each baby before you
can go for the center. Be careful, however, if the Patra begins
to move towards you!

Spirits of the dead. When it clings on to Link, he
won't be able to use his sword for awhile. The flashing ones
found in the first quest take away Link's sword
for a short amount of time, however, in the second quest the red ones
take away Link's sword permanently! The only way to get the sword
back is to cling on to a blue bubble.

Somebody placed these in the Labyrinths a long time
ago. They suddenly
attack when Link approaches them, so you've really got to watch
out! There is no way to defeat them. Avoid the fireballs emitted from the statues by
staying constantly in motion, and wait for the traps to move first
in order to sneak by. |
