Transformation Masks
Deku Mask  You start out the game with this mask. As a Deku, Link will be able to use special Deku Flowers to fly around for a limited distance, and attack enemies by shooting bubbles (once you receive magic power). As a Deku, Link is rather weak when it comes to fire attacks, and falling from great heights. Goron Mask  Follow the Ghostly Goron to the Goron alter by using the Lens of Truth, and play the Song of Healing to him, then he will give you the Goron mask, which changes Link into a Goron. As Goron Link, you will be able to curl into a ball and roll around, and use the strength of the Goron to unleash powerful fire-punches. Because of his weight, Goron Link is weak when it comes to water and great heights. Zora Mask  You get the Zora mask, which turns link into a Zora, by helping the ill Zora in Great Bay onto the shore. Play the Song of Healing to him, and he will leave the Zora mask for Link. As a Zora, Link can swim like a fish, walk on the bottom of the water, create electric barriers to surround himself, and use the Zora fins for long distance attacks, or various fighting combos. Zora Link is very susceptible to both fire and ice. Regular Masks Great Fairy Mask  Return the lost fairy in Clock Town to the Great Fairy Shrine in North Clock Town. This mask makes it alot easier to collect all the stray fairies in the temples, as they are attracted to this mask. Don Gero's Mask  Light all the torches in Goron City, then destroy all the barrels spinning around the chandelier. You will be rewarded with the Sirloin Rock, a stone that looks suspiciously like a piece of meat. Bring the meat to the Goron stuck on the ledge back in Mountain Village, and he will give you this mask. Wearing this mask will give you the ability of speaking to the frogs that are located around in Termina. Mask of Scents  Enter the tunnel to the left of the Deku Palace, there you will meet the Deku Butler. Follow him all the way through. It is easier wearing the Bunny Hood. This mask gives you the ability of smelling mushrooms that are close. Bremen Mask  At the night of the first or second day, speak to the man in the Laundry Pool area, and he will give you this just for listening to him. This mask make animals mistake you for their leader, and they will follow you. Bunny Hood  This mask you get by making all the sad man's chickens grow up fast by using the Bremen Mask. You find the sad man at Romani ranch. One of the most useful masks as it increases Link's speed significantly. Romani Mask  Want access to the Milk Bar in Clock Town at night? Then finish Romani and Cremia's notebook assignements, and you will be rewarded with this mask which gives you exactly that! Mask of Truth  This mask and its function should be familiar to all who have played Ocarina of Time. It lets you communicate with the one-eyed stones, and you can even hear animal's thoughts. You must complete the first spider dungeon if you want this mask. Blast Mask  Short on bombs? Then this is just the mask you need! With it, you can explode out of nothing really, by just wearing the mask. Be careful though, Link will lose life if he doesn't protect himself with the shield. To get this mask you must stop the thief in North Clocktown at midnight. To stop him, you need to cut the bag of his back. Kamaro's Mask  With this mask, Link can perform a mystical dance which is said to be an ancient dance with magic powers. Get this mask simply by playing the Song of Healing at the stroke of midnight to the man who is dancing at the top of the mushroom shaped stone outside of Clock Town. Garo's Mask  Without this mask, you will not be allowed to enter Ikana Canyon. Win the mask by defeating the Gorman Bros in the horse race through Milk Road. Captain's Hat  Fight the big skull at the Ikana graveyard, and you will get this mask that lets you talk to the undead. Gibdo Mask  Make the Gibdos mistake you for one of their own by wearing this mask. Get it in the small village in Ikana Canyon, right before the Stone Tower, there is a house which looks like a big music box. Down below inside the house, there is a mummy. Play the Song of Healing to him, and he will give you this mask. Stone Mask  With this mask you will blend into the background just like a stone, and you will be invisible to many enemies. To receive it, you must use the Lens of Truth near the entrance to Ikana Canyon. You should see a circle of stones there, and if you use the Lens of Truth on that, you will spot an invisible guard, give him a Red Potion, and the mask is yours! Circus Leader's Mask  By using this mask when you do Cremia's notebook assignement, there will be no enemies at all! You can get the mask by helping out the Zora in the Milk Bar (Clock Town) with his soundcheck by using the various instruments you can access with your transformation masks. All Night Mask  If you have this mask you will be able to stay awake while listening to long stories, and catch the whole point of the stories as well. If you stop the thief in North Clock Town the first day, you will be able to purchase this mask in the Curiosity Shop the third day. Giant's Mask  The Giant's Mask turns Link into a huge giant. Unfortunately it can only be used when fighting the boss of the Stone Tower Temple, Twinmold. You get the mask by killing the Eyegore at the end of the the Stone Tower Temple. Kafei's Mask  A mask which purpose is limited to the use in a notebook assignement. You can get it by talking to the big lady in Mayor Dotour's house. Keaton Mask  This is a mask which resembles the mysterious Keaton. By standing inside a circle-shaped area of bushes while wearing this mask, and then slashing the bushes, you will summon the Keaton! To get this mask you must complete Anju and Kafei's notebook assignement. Postman's Hat  If you are wearing this mask, you will be allowed to open all the mailboxes found around in Clock Town. Who knows what you might find! Just like with the mask above, you must complete Anju and Kafei's notebook assignement before you can get this mask. Couple's Mask  Although this is a rather useless mask, it comes in handy if woren when you talk to Mayor Dotour. Try yourself and find out why! This is the last mask you get for completing Anju and Kafei's notebook assignement. Fierce Deity Mask  When Link puts on this mask he is transformed into Oni-Link, which is Japanese for Evil Link. Unfortunately you can only test the powers of this exceptional mask in boss fights. Get it by collecting all the other masks, and then complete the mini dungeons inside the Moon. |
