First off, I do want to say what an AMAZING job you guys have done donating. Astounding, really! I got the idea to ask people to donate from our own Tacheon Black, because I'm usually opposed to asking others for money. But after seeing the fruits of this endeavor, I'm wondering why I didn't take his advice sooner... ;) Not only has the money raised been *more* than useful in alleviating the painful dent in ZU's wallet caused by hiring the new designer, but it's shown me just how close the ZU community truly is. I mean, I had a pretty good idea - but this is more than I could have ever imagined. ZU really is like a family!

Unfortunately, we're not at the goal yet... which means I can't reveal my final, most exciting tidbit about the layout. And believe me, I really want to tell you guys... because it's some good stuff. And, because we didn't reach the goal, I have to tell the designer that he needs to hold off on designing the forums. Meaning ZU's relaunch might be delayed for a bit while I gather up more funds - both from here and from ZU's own income.

However, I have hired the designer. We're going to be talking as soon as Monday and getting things started - so don't anybody dare think that just because we haven't yet reached the goal that all this isn't going to happen! It'll just take... a bit longer than expected.

That said, there haven't been any questions at this point in the donation drive - so I guess all I can say is, "We're ALMOST THERE!! Just a bit mooooooore!"

So: We're ALMOST THERE!! Just a bit mooooooore! And when you reach the goal a shiny surprise will be waiting... so, for the sake of everything Zelda Universe, let's pull together and gather the last few (hundred) dollars and kick this pig!

One dollar - I still swear by it. A dollar from everybody, and we'll have enough to pay for a million layouts. ;)
