Zelda Challenge Makes $1200 For Child's Play

Remember those four people who didn't finish all four Zelda games? Well, they accomplished something a little better in the process.

Penny Arcade, a popular online web comic, has its own charity foundation - Child's Play. And through the power of donations, "The 448 Team" raised over $1200 ($1260.18, to be exact). The guys say that they'll be going for more in the future, and we here at Zelda Universe love it when Zelda fans decide to give to charity in such generous amounts - both donators and teams of players.

The team will now be playing one game per week. A bit slower, but far more manageable, and offers more time to raise money for charity. Like last time, their progress can be watched through a webcam video, although they have not yet begun to play.However, you can go to their website and watch them begin on Saturday, 5pm CST.

Apparently, the team is also looking to make this into a sort of web show, called "The 448 Show". They'll be gathering donations for Child's Play throughout the year, and with quite a goal at $10,000. However, as it's for a wonderful cause, that goal may not be so far away. Every dollar counts when garnering donations, of course.

If for some reason some one is reading this I found some thing crucial to the Zelda time line THEORY remember it could mean nothing.But by the same token it could be good.In the Ocarina of Time when you beat the forest temple and meeting the deku sprout he says(and don't quote me) links mother is escaping the great war before the king unified the land.In the beginning of the minish cap it told of an extremely similar story probably meaning if there is a time line ocarina would take place 10-17 years after the hero of men ultimately meaning ocarina comes first.please if some one reads this and has a comment tell/ask me.

Wow, that certainly is fantastic (about the donation). While I think it's great that they're trying to build up donations, I'm wondering exactly how much they'd be able to get from people who watch the team play a Zelda game that they've probably beaten themselves. Then again, I suppose people would just feel like donating whether they care about the webcam video or not (it might now give them an incentive to donate). Either way, if it gets the donations, then that's pretty cool.

yeah ocarina of time is the first in the timeline of zelda. Because gannondorf was born that century, the garudo's mention it. and he is the king of garudo's when Link is kid.

And Majoras mask actually happens 30 years after windwaker. because Link falls into a time portal. you probably think how I know it's 30 years after Windwaker. It's because tingle is 5 years old in windwaker, and he is 35 years old in Majoras mask. mmmhh....

Every storyline with gannondorf/Gannon in it happens one houndred years after each other

Err, how's it that that's 30 years after WW??!! Your logic's VERY flawed if you ask me. Tingle is certainly not five years old in WW, he's short like WW Link, but he's not five years old. Also, MM CLEARLY took place one-two years after OoT's childhood state. There's no way that's a time portal, and there's even the story that Link saved the world from Ganondorf and that he was on a quest to find his close friend he lost. Don't quote me about that.
On topic:
If I had money TO donate, I would. As it stands, however, I'm broke and don't see me getting unbroke any time soon. :(
