Armos Statues If you so much as touch these men of stone, they will come to life and you will be forced into battle with them, a few quick slashes of your sword will get rid of these soldiers. Tektite Ancient spiders that roam the land of Koholint. These foes jump quickly and can be a little trouble if you do not dispose of them quickly. A few strikes will finish these enemies. Water Tektite An evolved form of Tektites that have the ability to walk on water. In addition to a floating ability, they can jump just as far as normal Tektites. Simply use a ranged weapon to take care of these foes. Stalfos These skeletal beings walk the floors of the dungeons on the isle of Koholint. These foes are fairly easy to defeat, but they can be quite good jumpers. Simply corner them and slash away, they will deteriorate into a pile of dead bones. Shrouded Stalfos A form of Stalfos that has a protective cloak that strengthens the monster. They might also appear as knights with swords and shields. These knights can be difficult, as they will often will block your attacks, but focus on striking their shield and you can squeeze a few killing hits in. Octorock Octorocks have roamed ancient lands for many centuries, and they haven't changed much. These creatures will spit rocks at you if you are not careful, so dispose of them with any means necessary. Winged Octorock An evolved state of the octopus-like creature. These enemies will take flight if you try to slash at them, so equip your Roc's Feather and use it to jump high and slash your sword in their direction. This should get rid of these menaces rather quickly. Goriya Goriyas have had a history of lurking in underground Labyrinths and dark crypts, but on the isle of Koholint, they can be found in most wooded areas. Be warned, these monsters may be equipped with spears and projectiles, but nothing that a few sword swipes can take care of. Moblin Moblins are pig-like monsters that have roamed royal lands for generations. These foes may have weapons at their disposal but ultimately, a few keen sword swipes and a boomerang here and there will claim your victory. Like Like These blobs are large parasites that will devourer you for a few seconds and spit you out, taking your shield. These creatures can be defeated a number of ways, but the trick is to not get too close to them, so ranged weapons are the preferred means of defeating these creatures. Leever These sand creatures can drill themselves in and out of the ground, making it rather difficult to catch them. The trick is to slash your sword as fast as you can to catch them before they submerge again. Pols Voice These feline creatures have been spotted in ancient Hyrule hundreds of years ago, and have found their way to the habitat of the dungeons of Koholint. These foes cannot be defeated with your sword, you must use such weapons as bombs to destroy them. Beetle Beetles can be spotted all over Koholint, in dungeons and other places on the island. They seem to feel safe in water most of the time, but they are very weak. Shell Beetle These Beetles are protected by a small shell that is indestructible. Simply pull out your shield and ram into them, causing them to flip over on their backs. This will give you a chance to swipe their belly with your sword. Spiked Beetle Like Shell Beetles, Spiked Beetles can be rather difficult to defeat because of their protective skin. These monster will charge at you if they see you, so be prepared with your shield to flip them over. Strike them a few times and they are gone. Hardhat Beetle This part of the Beetle family is the strongest, for they are impossible to slay. Conveniently, they are always located near an open hole. Simply nudge them with your shield or sword into the hole, for this is the only way to defeat them. Keese Keese are the quick and lively bats that have lurked in caves and dungeons for centuries. They are very easy to defeat, as any means will destroy them, but you might have to wait until they stop moving to slash them away. Zora The Zora are part of an ancient aqua race that have plagued the waters of Hyrule and foreign lands for quite some time. They will immerge from the water and spit fire at all who pass, so simply hit them with a projectile before they submerge again. Zol The Zol is comprised of a slimey jelly that gives them the ability to hop and jump rapidly. Just about any weapon will take care of them, but be careful, for they have the ability to split up into Gels, tiny baby Zols that may stick to you. Ghini Ghinis are the ghosts that haunt the graveyards of Koholint island. While they are not difficult to defeat, it is easy to lose sight of them because of their speed. A few sword swipes will take care of them. However, if you manage to find the master Ghini, it will make all the other disappear. Scissor Sand Crab These creatures live on the beaches of Koholint, and they are no problem at all. These little monsters can be taken out by a few swipes of the sword. Rope These mythical snakes not only have keen eyesight, but their speed is incredible. Like Spiked Beetles, they will charge at you with enormous speed if they spot you. Simple be ready to slash them with your sword and they will be defeated with a few hits. Gibdo Gibdos are possessed mummies that have lurked in crypts and dungeons for many years. They are very simple to defeat, but they have very strong armor. It may take up to four sword swipes to finally get them to crumble. Wizzrobe Wizzrobes are powerful spell casters that have the ability to teleport anywhere in the room. They will appear randomly and fire a spell directly at Link. To defeat them, simply hit them with your sword before they get a chance to attack you. Bomber Bombers are very dangerous, simply because they can fly at high speeds. They will attempt to drop bombs onto you, but a good ranged weapon such as the Bow can take care of these in no time. Traps Traps are set to go off as soon as you come near them, so be careful. Although there is no way to put these to rest, they are easy to avoid. Simply walk past them by making no stops or place a block in front of them to block their path. Stone Statues Stone statues are all over the dungeons of Koholint island. However, some are possessed and may shoot fireballs directly at you. There is no way to stop these beings, so just watch out! Beamos Beamos are ancient statues that hold much magic power, and were created to protect the dungeons of Koholint. These statues have the power to fire a light laser directly at you, leaving you no time to run away. You cannot defeat them, so simply avoid their line of sight at all costs. Floor Tiles Throughout the dungeons of Koholint island, there are many magical and enchanted parts of the labyrinths. Some floor tiles become enchanted and will hurl themselves at you, but a single sword swipe will disintegrate the tiles fast. You can also hold up your shield to avoid the battle. Anti-Fairy These beings are comprised of pure matter, evil matter. These creatures are the exact opposite of a fairy, and they are not easily defeated. The only way to expel these beings is to empty a handful of Magic Powder on them, making them disappear. Bubble Bubbles are rapid sparks that will hug walls and dart across the room. These enemies are invulnerable, so they cannot be defeated by any means. Your best bet is to avoid these or simply use your Boomerang. Baby Moldorm The Moldorm species is a legendary one, and these tiny babies are no exception. Their snake-like movements and rapid speed makes them hard to strike, but a few sword swipes will take care of them. Crow These Crows roam the forests and wooded areas of Koholint, waiting for someone to pass. They will swoop down at high speeds to strike you, and you can either run or fight. If you decide to fight, use your Boomerang or a high damage weapon to defeat them easily. Raven Cousins to the Crows, the Ravens are more advanced and have a keener eye. Everything that applies to Crows is all true to Ravens, except they live in the mountains and Ravens are much faster and cause more damage. Buzzblob Buzzblobs are fabled creates made of an electrical jelly. If you strike at them with your sword, you will become electrocuted, badly. So, simply use your Bow or another projectile to avoid the damage. However, if you happen to sprinkle a handful of Magic Powder on them, they turn into... Cukeman These creatures are the result of a little Magic Powder sprinkled on a Buzzblob. You may talk to the young blobs, and they will utterly confuse you. So simply destroy them by the same means as a Buzzblob. Cucco These chicken creatures can be found in villages and high parts of the mountain. They cause you absolutely no harm... until you harm them yourself. Goomba These foreign creatures come from a magical land of mushrooms and Italian plumbers, but when they are not there, they spend their vacations on the isle of Koholint. Use any weapon necessary to defeat these monsters, and you can even be traditional and jump on the little creatures. Piranha Plant Also from the Mushroom Kingdom, Piranha Plants sprout from pipes under the dungeons, and spit fireballs. You can get close to them and slash them down with your sword, or use the Boomerang or any other projectile. Cheep-Sheep Tiny fish that dwell in the many waters of Koholint island. When swimming under water, use your sword to quickly eliminate them, but do not be scared, they do not pose a threat. Boo Like Ghini, these spooks do not cause much harm, as long as you can catch them. To destroy these simply light a torch or two to dispel them from the living world. Shy Guy These masked foes mimic your every step. The easiest way to destroy them is to charge up your whirlwind attack and walk behind them, then unleashing the attack. The trick is you cannot strike their face. Anti-Kirby Be warned, for these cute creatures are not to be toyed with. These little balls of fluff will suck anything in its path into its mouth with its powerful lungs. Simply avoid these creatures and you will be fine. Pokey These cactus-like monsters dwell in the deserts of Koholint. These creatures do not move very fast and they can only harm you if they touch you. Be careful and strike away each section of their body with your sword. Bloober Bloobers are foreign water creatures that can be found in only the deepest of lakes. They emit no projectiles but their excellent swimming techniques make it hard to avoid touching them. Simply strike them away with your sword if you run into them. Thwimp Tiny versions of the fabled "Thwomp" monster. Theses creatures will hug the ceiling and slam down the to ground right before you step under them. It is best to only get close enough for them to fall, and as they make their ascent, run past them. The Pegasus Boots allow you to dash under them as well! Thwomp ![]() Larger and more mature versions of the Thwimps, with much more speed and power. You must go about getting past them the same as Thwimps. However, Thwomps also differ in the fact that you can use their head as a platform! Mad Thwomp ![]() These Thwomps are very angry and stubborn, therefore they won't rise up out of the way for just anyone. To get them to move, simply charge into them with the Pegasus Boots, then dash under them before they go back down. Goponga Flower These flowers are actualy evil creatures that inhabit the Spool Swamp. These flowers are poisonous, so beware touching them. The actual only way to get rid of them is to feed them to a Chomp! Giant Goponga ![]() These giant mutated flowers live in the Spool Swamp as well, and will emit fireballs to all who pass. Simply grab a pet Chomp to eat away their leaves, making it simply for you to pass by. Pincer Pincers live in holes all around the fields of Koholint, making it seemingly impossible to ever trust a hole to be normal. If you come across one, they will dart out and take a snip off you. Watch out for their eyes and strike them with your sword once they immerge from the hole. Angler Fry These seemingly harmless are just what they seem, harmless! As long as you don't touch them they will never attack you, simply use your sword to do away with them. However be aware, for their mother the almighty Angler Fish will stop at nothing to destroy you. Bombite These little creatures have one purpose: to explode and harm you. There are two different types of Bombites, one explodes on the count of three, while the other darts around the room, bouncing off walls and explodes at will. Be careful and use your shield to avoid contact! Iron Mask These tiny monsters are difficult to defeat simply because of the iron shield that protects their face. You must strike them with your sword from the back, or from either side of them, causing them to declare defeat. Mace Knight These trained royal knights have a great powerful weapon, their mace. These creatures will swing the ball and chain around and unleash in upon you. They are very simple if you use your Boomerang to stun them, but otherwise you must be very careful to only strike them when they are not prepared to attack you. Soldier These Soldiers also reside in the vicinity of Kanalet Castle, and are very well trained. Because of their shield, it is often hard to get a good hit in, but a few strikes with your sword and they will eventually succumb to their death. Sea Urchin These underwater creatures often create a blockade with their spiky shells. Simply push them aside with your shield to get past them, but of course, once you receive your sword from the shores, you can dispose of them much easier. Mimic These Mimics are distinctive because of their large arms. They will emulate every single move you make, but a few sword swipes will take care of them in no time. Mad Bomber These men will hide in deep holes within the area of Kanalet Castle and toss bombs at you from a distance. To defeat this quick and agile soldier, you must anticipate which hole he will appear in, and strike him as soon as he pops out. Star These weak creatures are only good at one thing, turning and running around the rooms of the dungeons. They can easily be done away with a single swipe of your sword. Zombie The walking dead, the Zombies, can be found in some of the graveyards of Koholint island. These undead beings can be defeated by just about any means, but of course your sword is best. The problem is, they keep on coming! Three of a Kind These monsters will always appear in groups of three in the Koholint dungeons. They will walk around the room, doing no harm to you, and cycle through the suits of a deck of cards on their bellies. When you strike one, it will freeze and will stop cycling through the suits and stay on one. You must match that suit on each of the monsters to defeat them. Pairodd This odd looking creature often appears in pairs with another. They will flash and teleport across the screen at very high speeds, so you must use your Pegasus Boots to ram into them as soon as you spot one. Vire These rare and fast flying creatures appear in only the hottest of dungeons, swooping down at random to try and harm you. The easiest way to defeat these monsters is to use your Hookshot. Giant Keese Giant pawns of the legendary Mad Batter. While they are larger versions of Keese, they are not at all harder to destroy. Your sword is the best means to eliminate these bats. Lanmola Lanmolas are dangerous sand monsters that are very large in scale. They usually come in threes making it harder to defeat them. You will see a small dirt mound before they explode from the ground, giving you time enough to run over and slash their heads as they immerge from the sand. Giant Ghini ![]() A rare creature, and mother to all Ghini. The Giant Ghini will sometimes appear in the graveyard, and can be defeated just as easily as the other of her family. Giant Buzzblob ![]() While giant in size, this Buzzblob is not very different than the rest of them. Whatever you do, do not hit it with your sword, or you will experience the jolt of a lifetime. Simply shoot it, ever so gently, with an arrow to do away with it. Giant Bubble ![]() This Giant Bubble is only seen once throughout your adventure, and there is no way to defeat it. Simply latch onto the ladders and find you way across as it darts around the room. Rolling Bones While this monster has no thick armor or any means of defending itself, he holds control of a spiked log that rolls at high speeds. Simply jump over the rolling log with your Roc's Feather and strike him with your sword as many times as you can. Hinox ![]() While simply to defeat, he is in no way easy. The Hinox has much strength and stamina, and packs quite a punch. Simply strike him with your sword as many times as you can without getting in the way of his attacks. Dodongo Snakes These snakes slither around the rooms of the dungeons fairly
slow, and cannot be defeated very conventionally. You must toss
several Bombs in each snake's mouth, causing an explosion inside
of them. This is the only way to defeat them.Cueball ![]() This odd looking creature has a great weakness, his backside. When you attack him there he will switch the direction he is moving in, so repeat this process and e is doomed. Gohma The Gohma crab is a ancient monster that lurks some Labyrinths in Koholint. It moves horizontally, so be sure to stay in front of it. When it opens its giant eye, shoot an arrow directly into it. A few hits and it should be gone. Smasher This creature has massive strength for its size, for it has a giant metal sphere that it will hurl at you. Dodge the ball and pick it up yourself, giving you a chance to throw it at him and cause harm to him. Do this around six times and he will be destroyed. Golem ![]() The Golem is the strongest enemy in all of Koholint, and he causes the most damage as well. When you fight him, be most cautious and make sure his attacks don't strike you all that often, this way you can get enough good hits in to defeat him. King Moblin ![]() The King Moblin will try to crash into you immediately when the battle starts, so move aside quickly. He will then hit the wall, rendering him unconscious for awhile, this is your chance to hit him a few times with your sword. Repeat this and the king will be dethroned. Grim Creeper ![]() The Grim Creeper is a most unique villain, because it is not him you will be attacking. He has a total of six Giant Keese at his disposal. Defeat all six before they escape and you will win the battle with ease. Armos Knights ![]() These Knights are most visious and will travel in packs of six. Strike each down with several arrows from your Bow and you will do fine. However, the last knight standing will go berserk and start stomping on you. Fire a large string of arrows at him several times to defeat him. Master Stalfos ![]() This knight proves that appearance is not everything. For one single strike with your sword will dismantle him into a pile of bones. Once he is reduced to a bone pile, place a Bomb directly on him, to cause major damage to him. Do this a few times and he is defeated. |
