As we have posted the latest Official Art from Spirit Tracks, people began to wonder about the picture of the Four Sword Links running away from a Phantom. Well Nintendo certainly didn’t want you to wonder much longer considering they have left us videos all over the net of what to look forward to when it came to the multiplayer aspect of the game.

Feel free to read Kotaku.com’s first impression on the multiplayer portion and after that, watch the two minute video below showing a couple of stages of Battle Mode, some Phantom Zelda gameplay photage, as well as our very first look at Tag Mode where players are able to trade treasures with each other.

We’re not done with information just yet. We’ve also got our hands on a new video showing Link in an all new fighting off some Keese and Chuchus in what looks to be in one of the very first caves Link will explore in the game and much much more (spoilers be warned)

The official US Zelda site has finally updated its Spirit Tracks section with a whole bunch of information. Upon entering, you can choose to watch the intro to the game, and information on various aspects of the game has been provided. Some of the information is new, such as the details of a previously unnamed character.

It’s nice to see the US version of the site finally taking an interest in updating the site, especially considering their previous laziness.

Mike Damiani of Gametrailers has written a detailed account of his playthrough of Spirit Tracks – well, up to the end of the second dungeon anyway. It contains a new spoiler about once every sentence, so if you want to know all about the game you can read his post here.

One interesting non-spoiler to note is that at the start of the game the game will ask you whether you are left-handed or right-handed, which is a feature that I’m sure that the 10% of left-handed gamers would have liked to have back in Twilight Princess.

Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma recently confirmed some interesting things about Zelda Wii in an interview with IGN, including the fact that they planned to change the “flow” of Zelda games.

“We’re making efforts regarding the total flow of the Zelda game. So far, the basic flow of the Zelda games is you’re exploring a field, you go to a dungeon, you conquer it and return to the field. We’re looking at altering that traditional flow. That’s all I can share, and I can’t say more until E3 next year.”

Aonuma also had some other comments about Zelda Wii – namely, the use of the Wii MotionPlus.

“We’re taking advantage of MotionPlus. It’s become very natural – the movement of your arms is precisely reflected in the gameplay. Thanks to the technological advancements, we hope the gameplay can be more accessible to people.”

He also had an interview with Official Nintendo Magazine, in which he said that “some” of the speculating about Zelda Wii is correct, though that isn’t very helpful because there are literally thousands of different obscure speculations out there. You can read more about that here.

Product Manager Roger Langford, speaking to MCV, has explained that Nintendo will be heavily focusing on television advertising from now on.

“The marketing for Spirit Tracks will focus around a TV campaign starting around the launch encapsulating the magic and mystery of The Legend Of Zelda, as well as displaying the rich and varied environments of the title itself. We want to ensure that all Legend Of Zelda fans are aware of the title at launch with this heavyweight TV campaign.”

Let’s hope that these commercials are successful and bring some new fans to the Zelda series.

Our friend Nathan over at ZeldaInformer has compiled a wish-list of features and tidbits that he would like to see appear in Spirit Tracks. If you’ve ever had ideas for ways to improve the Zelda series, this is a welcome read, and Nate addresses the flaws that were present in Phantom Hourglass that should most certainly be fixed in Spirit Tracks (such as the lackluster soundtrack).

The Official Nintendo Magazine answered questions from curious Zelda fans on their website. Most questions have to do with gameplay and there are no spoilers as far as the storyline is concerned (unless you’ve been living under a rock and not seen the trailers) so don’t be afraid to check it out. Also, The Official Nintendo Magazine’s next issue will include the very first review of Spirit Tracks, so if you want to check that out, pick up your copy on Friday.

Our Future Zelda forums are packed with interesting discussions about Spirit Tracks, so if you want to voice your opinions on Zelda and trains (lovely trains), that’s the place to go!
