Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma recently confirmed some interesting things about Zelda Wii in an interview with IGN, including the fact that they planned to change the “flow” of Zelda games.

“We’re making efforts regarding the total flow of the Zelda game. So far, the basic flow of the Zelda games is you’re exploring a field, you go to a dungeon, you conquer it and return to the field. We’re looking at altering that traditional flow. That’s all I can share, and I can’t say more until E3 next year.”

Article fever has apparently gripped Zelda fans internet-wide, and as such three Zelda-related articles have been released within the last day.

ZeldaInformer has provided a Bottom 5 list of the worst bosses in the Zelda series, while LegendofZelda.com has taken a look at the significance of the numbers 3 and 7 within the Zelda series, and GamePro has written a retrospective of the whole series so far.

Minish CapThe Minish Cap manga by Akira Himekawa will be released December 1st in bookstores across America. Like the other mangas in the series, the story will be based on the game itself. Look for it in your local bookstore or order online for a cover price of $7.99.

Continuing the series, look for A Link to the Past on February 2. Already released are Ocarina of Time Part I, Ocarina of Time Part II, Majora’s Mask, Oracle of Seasons, Oracle of Ages, Four Swords Part I, and Four Swords Part II.

Eiji Aonuma had an interview with Official Nintendo Magazine saying that there are changes in store for the new Zelda Wii title that might ensue some surprising reactions. The Zelda producer also added that there is hope that something will be shown for next year’s E3.

Does this mean we’ll only be getting a video of what’s to come, or will we get some hands on demonstration? We’ll make sure to follow up with any news as it comes by our way.

Our friend Nathan over at ZeldaInformer has compiled a wish-list of features and tidbits that he would like to see appear in Spirit Tracks. If you’ve ever had ideas for ways to improve the Zelda series, this is a welcome read, and Nate addresses the flaws that were present in Phantom Hourglass that should most certainly be fixed in Spirit Tracks (such as the lackluster soundtrack).

Check out the article here.

The Official Nintendo Magazine answered questions from curious Zelda fans on their website. Most questions have to do with gameplay and there are no spoilers as far as the storyline is concerned (unless you’ve been living under a rock and not seen the trailers) so don’t be afraid to check it out. Also, The Official Nintendo Magazine’s next issue will include the very first review of Spirit Tracks, so if you want to check that out, pick up your copy on Friday.

Our Future Zelda forums are packed with interesting discussions about Spirit Tracks, so if you want to voice your opinions on Zelda and trains (lovely trains), that’s the place to go!

theherooftimeThe Sacred Realm is reporting that the first independent Zelda film, The Hero of Time, will be released online through video sharing site Dailymotion. The official date of release is clocked in at just under one month away – December 14, 2009 – and with some good old-fashioned patience, we’ll all soon be watching The Hero of Time in our comfortable chairs through a certain series of tubes.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 may be the fastest selling game of all time, but it certainly doesn’t ignore its inspirations. One fan has managed to catch what could be a subtle nod to the Zelda series present on the arm of Modern Warfare 2’s cameo uniforms. Someone at Infinity Ward must be a Zelda fan – unless that rogue Google employee is also a game developer.

Thanks to The_Stig for the tip!

There was quite a bit of time skipped between Ocarina of Time and The Wind Waker. Just what happened in that time? Aside from The Wind Waker’s illustrated introduction, we know little about what actually happened in between the two games.

ZeldaInformer’s Casey Hodges has written a speculative article discussing just what might have happened during that time period; check out the article here.

The full intro trailer for Spirit Tracks, which tells of the backstory of the game, is now available. Hit the jump to see the video.
