Ocarina of Time arriving on European Wii U Virtual Console this week (Updated)

If somehow you don’t have access to one of the many versions of Ocarina of Time, or you simply want to make it playable on newer hardware, then good news: the classic is now heading to the Wii U Virtual Console.

The game has only been confirmed for Europe so far, but it’s practically a given that North America will receive it on the same service soon enough (we’ll update the details here as we learn more). For now, Ocarina of Time will hit Europe’s Virtual Console on July 2, priced at £8.99/€9.99.

As always, owners of the Wii Virtual Console version can perform a system transfer from the Wii to the Wii U to receive a discounted price for the upgrade. GoNintendo adds, “This is the European version of the game with corrected aspect ratio”.

Update: Here is the official trailer for the Wii U Virtual Console release.
