gerudo_valley_kotake_koume

Masahiro Sakurai has given fans of Ocarina of Time quite a treat today with his Smash 4 pic of the day, revealing that Kotake and Koume will appear in the Gerudo Valley stage in Super Smash Bros. 3DS, causing trouble for players as they have been for the last 15 years.  Previously, we reported on a fire hazard that appeared in the stage that was revealed in another “pic of the day” back in August. Could this “fire hazard” merely be the effects of Koume’s fire magic, which burns down the bridge linking to the Gerudo Valley in the process? I think this is a fair possibility!

Kotake and Koume have not made an appearance in a Zelda title since 2001′s Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages. After almost 13 years, it’s great to have them back!

“Pic of the day. The twin grannies, Kotake and Koume, appear in Gerudo Valley! They’re definitely up to no good.”

Maybe, one side is on fire, whereas the other side could be affected by ice?

It would be nice if they fused into Twinrova and attacked the closest player or something. It would also be hilarious if they wouldn’t attack a Ganondorf and opted for Link whenever he was on the stage at the time, although that kind of biased game mechanic would deter people from using that item…
